  1. Ahhhh how annoying! Think I will just have to dig out my old iPod and use that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. So basically I have a 62 plate monte and I have an iPhone 5s. The problem is i have an iPhone 4 MDI cable, so I got a converter to convert it into a 5 plug and the MDI will only charge my phone and the car will not even recognise my phone?! Help please Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. The pic doesn't show but the edge where it has worn more is not in contact with the disc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Here's a pic of my pad. It's hard to get a decent pic but that's the best I could get. I don't think it's a piston because of how they have worn it's thinker on the right than the left and it's the same on both sides. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Only just seen the replys. I will take pics tomorrow. My cars in constant use so don't think they have been used when discs have gone rusty. The pedal also feels odd of late the pedal has normal biting point but doesn't seem to really bite untill I stamp on them. PS I've never been heavy on brakes. Think I've changed 1 set in 5 years. 6. Hi all, I have had my fabia Monte Carlo 1.2 TSi (105) for around 18 months and it's done 11k. I've noticed recently the brake pedal has felt strange so I checked the pads and there's plenty of meat left but the top 1/3 is much bigger than the bottom 2/3, has anyone had anything similar? Advise would be much obliged ???? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. What I meant was a lot of people can't see my logic in me having a new car, but like you say it suits me at the moment. Things will change as I get older i suppose.
  8. I don't want a brand new car for snob appeal or just to say i have a brand new car, it just seems the best option for me atm having a few ££££ to put down and the rest on a pcp (to keep monthly payments down). Can also change the car every 18 month or so. I would definatly have a 18 month old car, if i like the car it's not a problem!! From what i can work out i can get a better deal on a brand new car on a pcp, with a few grand down, but obviously i wont be able to sell the car and will never actually own the thing, but this doesn't bother me right now. I know alot of people will think i'm an idiot for doing it this way, but it just fits in with my life style right now...
  9. in reply to sharkrider; Logicaly it's the best car to move forward to, but styling wise i dont think it's sepcial enough and plus it's gettin facelifited in 2014? so i'll want to get rid again then. This is why i think i would be best suited to the Seat Ibiza cupra. All the plus points of the skoda plus the stylings alot easier on the eye, imo. Just a tad more expensive, but i', sure Seat like Skoda will do a 0% VAT offer soon.
  10. I currently drive a fabia Monte Carlo 105 TSi. I think an s3 would be to much in running costs. Same as a gt86 with them both being 2.0. With most the cars I've mentioned they're all fairly small engines with turbo/superchargers so if I'm careful I can still get half decent mpg and my insurance is hardly any difference between my current car and any of the VAG 1.4 TSI. I would imagine the s3 would be a killer for me to insure.
  11. Polo GTi is over priced and I don't like the look of it from the back. Swmbo had a polo and just did not like it and couldn't justify the cost over a fabia.
  12. A few reasons I want new. 1. I have a 62 plate already, don't think I could go back to having an old car 2. I couldn't afford the running cost of a scooby/Evo 3. I can most likely get service plans and warranty brand new. 4. I plan to get a bike for out and out performance ready for next ahem summer :-)
  13. I should of said, the car I will be getting will be brand new, so that puts the seat bocrenegra and 330i out. Althouh I have thought about maybe a less hot 1 series but then again the styling is awful. Ds3 - I think it looks cheap with it black and orange wheels and ds3 stickers all in the cabin. Really not my thing. Clio RS - actually forgot to put this on my list as the new one that's due is a really good looking thing and a1.6 turbo rather than a 2.0 n/a. Vauxhall dealers - i have heard they're truly shocking! Plus the corsa vxr nurburgring is really over priced!!
  14. Ah so you did mate, sorry got reply happy!! Yeah I need to not get to excited and change my car prematurely!! I think all of above cars are pretty similair and its going to come down to the deal I can get :-)
  15. It's defiantly 2013. Even the ford website says so http://www.ford.co.uk/Cars/FutureVehicles/Fiesta-ST. The new fiesta is in showrooms now and been told they will start taking orders for the st in jan. Not sure on the 208, need to see one in the flesh.
