I get 10 and a half public holidays, the half is for the queen's birthday and one day as a Christmas shopping day.

Then I get 222 hours as normal annual leave and work 6 days on 3 days off.

AFAIK the legal minimum is now 24 days holiday pa, inc bank holidays (this is including the extra day that as been added by our lovely government )

Yes , it's a minimum of 24 days including bank holidays as a legal requirement , but IMO even that is taking the ****.

The large majority of good employers will give you 4 weeks plus bank holidays = 28.

I get 35 including bank holidays.
Some of our employees that were TUPE'd from another company get 5 less but every 4th year get an extra 4 week sabbatical so that evens itself out.

I get 23 days + bank holidays. However, flexi-time is bloody awesome. Work core hours 10-4 with a max of 2hrs for lunch, and make up to 37 hrs a week. Only snag is we can only have one day off a month for flexi...

Some people at work do a 9 day fortnight + all leave, but then you have to work rigid hours.

I get 31 days plus bank holidays..... Which if i work them i get a lieu day instead. Plus i work a 3 and 4 day a week roster so the 31 days comes out at 8 weeks holiday near as damn it. There is one point on the roster where we work Sun-Wed nights then get 7 days off then work Thur-Sat nights the next week so if you book either of those sets of nights off it means you get 12 or 13 days off with 3 or 4 days A/L.!!!

We work a 35 hour week...... so our 9 week roster runs as 8 weeks at 36 3/4 hours and 1 week at 28 1/2 which averages at 35 per week. Working for a company that was part of the railway means we have various rules for working times etc.... We are not allowed to be rostered for more than 12 hours in a day. If we work over that it has to be officially recorded and be given the option of hotel accomodation etc... rather than diving / travelling home. We can't be rostered to work more than 7 days in a row and cannot work more than 13 days in a row inc. un-rostered shifts. we also have to have 12 hours rest period between finishing work and starting our next shift.

All this came out of the Hidden Report after the Clapham accident back in the 80's.

I get 5 weeks and 8 days, but due to shift patterns, saturday/sunday in with the working week, I also get 140 rest days a year so infact I get 173 day's off every year..........

I get 25 days PA plus bank holidays. I'm also on flexitime so I can take a maximum of 2 additional days flexileave a month. If I am still with the same employer in October next year that will rise to 30 days annual leave.

20 days + bank hols, but I can take holiday in any amount of "6 minute" intervals, which means great fliexibililty for just having to take "45 minutes" to do "something" such as I did yesterday. Good thing too is overtime worked on audit, and such like, is added to the holiday as time worked in lieu - which is a bonus too.

I don't work now but used to be in NHS, used to get about 7 and half weeks per year, it was worked out in hours though, not days.

Obviously, the longer a person works there, the more holidays they get

currently 26 days(was 21 when i started but you get 5 extra days for 5 years continous service upto a maximum of 10 extra days i think) + bank holidays+the day after bank holidays(except mayday)

so works out at something like 41 days at the moment rising to 46 in just over 4 years time
