Coming down the A50, a little bit too quick. You over took me (red/black fabia vrs) taking it nice and easy.

IIRC i saw your car again possibly parked up in Uttoxeter at the back (where the housing estate is).

When my door wouldn't open and I spent a few months gradually fixing it...

This Is added to the fleet alongside a Mk1 Golf Driver (ABF) and a Mk2 Golf with another ABF waiting in the wings.

I've been lurking in the background reading some of the informative posts on Fabia 1's for the past few months - thanks to all the posters.

We have a 2004 Skoda Fabia 1 1.2 Classic hatchback with 122k on the clock which is the family taxi !! It has some of the familiar issues such as leaking rear doors (both sides) - nearly fixed - aaarrrrggg !! and the drivers side electric switch in the door lock has failed so we don't get the lights on warning buzzer or the interior light switching off automatically.

On the plus side its a reliable car and has proved cheap to run and repair - DIY not using dealers !!

Bit of a silly question, but I can't seem to embed videos.

Reading up, I wonder if there's a setting for which admins need to specify settings to allow embedding. So for example, youtube works, but when I try to post an embedding link from another service, all I get is the URL posted...

So far I've tried:

Hi guys,

I am new to this forum and I was hoping someone can help. I would like to get auto lights, I have a late 2005 octavia l&k. I have seen on other threads that it might be possible to add this function onto the car via a vag com lead. Am I right in thinking that all cars with rain sensors have the dusk sensor it's just a case of activating it? I know I have the switchgear for the auto lights I am just hoping I can tell the ecu to make them work. I doubt it's that simple but u never know!!!

Any help would be appreciated

Hi guys

New here and just looking for some help !
My octavia has just started a problem, when backing out of my sisters driveway which is up hill the car started to jerk and then engine stop ! It re started straight away but engine management light is on but not staying on ! Just comes on then goes out but after a few seconds comes back on !!
Managed to get home but engine running ruff and when over 30mph it gets worse and fills like whole cars jerking and just running bad , once at home and out of the car I noticed that there was a bad smell from N/S back wheel ! Like a burning smell but all looks ok !

I'm thinking it could be cat , or turbo but hoping its neither !!! Has any one had this problem or can advise me

I have just bought a Fabis VRS se and I am having a good look around the site (as massive as it is!) and some things have caught my eye... puppies (of the dog variety) and stickers so far!

I just wanted to offer my services for any vinyl work, and like I said initially if there is a proper way that requires I need to be a trader than i'll get that sorted.

I run graphic monster producing custom vinyl, for cars, wall art, framed items, and clothing etc.

Hi, I have just joined Briskoda having just collected my wifes brand new Fabia SE 1.2 from Progress in Letchworth and felt abliged to report the excellent service and deal we got from their salesman Tim Dickinson. We went in last weekend looking for a used Fabia for my misses and Tim made us aware they have a handful of brand new Fabia SE's which have a whopping 25% discount off making it only £8995 on the road including metallic paint. She plumped for a blue one and we collected it this morning. Tim took us through all the controls before we left and have to say what a nice chap he was as he never came across pushy and really listened to us. We have done all of 50 miles in the car so far but i am impressed how powerful the 1.2 engine actually is. I will keep you informed when we have done more miles.
