Default Castle Combe - Stroke Association Rally - Saturday, October 28, 2006

Guys,

Just incase anyone is interested in this I have posted what's on the CC website. I have been in touch with John Williams about track time too. It seems there is a lunchtime 1st come first serve public track time policy. I will be packing my lid

Entry isn't hugely expensive although the exact price isn't quoted anywhere. If you want to go/meetup prior to going in let me know. I am going to make a day of it. I will also be taking an umbrella this time

ALL IN A GOOD CAUSE

Thrill-seeking motor enthusiasts will be making their way to Castle Combe on Saturday 28th October. Do you fancy a white-knuckle ride with a pro driver?

Prefer to take your own car on the track? You can do both at the “All Car Run”

a fantastic track day in aid of The Stroke Association.

From 10 am till dusk this popular annual event offers rides in exotic cars like the Ultima Spider, the Radical, not to mention Porsche, Maserati and many others, piloted by professional drivers including celebrities such as Simon Taylor and Kevin Bristow.

Tin-lids are provided!

“This is a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages to experience the thrill of the race track” said John Williams of The Stroke Association. “Our annual track day helps us raise vital funds to support services for people affected by stroke. It’s a great day out with a wonderful atmosphere and a ride would also make a memorable gift for someone special”.

Classic World Rally Champion Kevin Bristol’s reaction was “The smiles on the faces said it all”.

At this year’s event Bob Dance, former Chief Mechanic with Lotus, will also be giving a lunchtime talk about his time working with Jim Clark, Graham Hill and Aryton Senna, a fascinating insight into the world of F1, not be missed.

John Williams concluded “This year’s event will be bigger and better than ever!”

For further information please contact John Williams on 01392 447363

Shame no-one came, you could have seen me keep a Clio Trophy well and truly in my mirrors. I even had a guy called Mike sit in with me. Mike is an experianced rally co-driver local to the circut and gave me a few tips on the way round which meant by the 3rd lap I was flying.

The new map, the Eibachs and the decent tyres (Toyo Proxies) coupled with a new set of EBC Red stuff's (In a completely different league to Green crap Stuff's) really has made the car a little gem round Combe.

Here are some photos from the day (Although none of me as I was driving and on my own... )
