Had my vRS in at DM Keith (Ossett) on Monday of this week appointment was made last Thursday with their service dept for 40k service and cam belt etc (see my post on this), they were willing to haggle on price which was good.

Dropped the car in on Monday at 7.30am, Sam in service was waiting for me with keys to a Fabia II for me to use for the day, plenty of fuel in it, car was very clean and tidy, as I drove away my car was being driven into the workshop.

Was called at 10.30 to advise that the bump stops and console bushes all needed replacing but warranty had agreed to cover parts and labour, also mentioned an advisory on front pads and disks that they were 40% worn but would last another 12 months, and that 3 of my 4 tyres were 2mm on tread (new this already), once again were willing to haggle on cost of replacing tyres (eventually settled on Goodyear Eagle F1's for £90 a piece inc valves, fitting, balancing and disposal).

Was called at 5.00pm to say every thing had been done and car was ready for collection, on arrival car had been washed, vacuumed and had a nice smelly Skoda air freshener in it (and a 1ltr bottle of Oil and a 1ltr bottle of screen wash).

Total cost, just under £930, and managed to blag a touch up paint thingy.

Have to say I was extreamly pleased with the service from start to finish, expensive ? perhaps, but the parts have a 2 year warranty, the book is stamped so thats always good for the future.

Had my car in for it's MOT yesterday, droppit it off at 8.00am, was asked when I'd like it back said lunchtime if poss, was given a Fabia II as a loan car, was called at 11.30am to say the car was ready went to collect it, was ready and waiting, washed and vacuumed out MOT cost £44.95, what else can I say great service !

Hi Guys, Not been on for a while.

Have my VRs in this morning and within an hour and a half of dropping it off, got a call. The first thing they told me was that my wiper blades need replacing. I found this to be a bit of shock as i only changed then 2 months ago for official skoda blades.

Are they telling me that the items that they have sold are of such poor quality that they need replacing or are they just trying to scam another £45 out of me? :mad:

Needless to say that i wasn't impressed with this and have now decided that they will not get anymore of my business unless its warranty work.

Its a shame as all previous business with that i have had with them, i have walked away happy.

Had occasion to use their Ossett service dept today and found them very good. Pleasant and interested reception staff even at 8am in the morning. Rang me when they said they would and explained what had been done in some detail. Overall very positive impression (and very close to home for me)

ordered our yeti from there.. kept up to date most of the way thru our wait, collected today and top service, even put petrol in for us :thumbup: ...gavin the salesman is a top man :thumbup:

After a very unsuccessful first year of my cars life with this branch I have given up and will try the Huddersfield branch as it seems that DM Keith almost have the monopoly on Yorkshire. Fingers crossed Huddersfield will have a better all round customer experience.

Too many issues over the last 12 months to list here.

Purchased a Yeti 1.2 Elegance from this branch and can confirm from my experience a fantastic dealership.

My car ordered on 31/12/10 from Gavin Kelly in sales, getting a good discount(no px) and was kept informed by Gavin on the progress

of my order at regular intervals.At handover all controls etc explained to me including a demo on the park assist.

A highly recommended dealer.

I would honestly stick to Leeds..Even their own staff , shall we say, are not enamoured by the service at Ossett. Just had the first service done at Leeds, they collected it from home on time and brought it back early, serviced and valeted!!...and I live walking distance from Ossett Branch..

Well have to say I have had my disagreements with this branch in the past, but hats off to DM Keith, they seem to have listened to their customers complaints and done something about it. They have changed the staff the public meet, from the top down and what a difference it has made. My Fabia developed a minor warranty problem so I called in last Tuesday, not expecting much, but was taken aback by the professional approach. New guy there very friendly,job sorted in two minutes. Fabia went in today, fixed on time, rung back when done. So went to pick it up and asked to fill in one of those `how did we do` jobbies..lol the last lot wouldnt have dared asked you for your opinion of them. The new boss is a lady and she seems to be getting things sorted..well done.I shall return.. :thumbup:

Just collected my new Yeti from DM Keith at Ossett and it has been a pleasurable experience from initial sale, order and delivery. Thanks Kevin for sorting it all out including my private reg.

I shall be returning for my servicing etc and feel confident that this high level of service will be maintained. :sun:

Our Octavia went to Ossett for the 'BlueTooth module fitting last Thursday

The job was done in a decent time, car valeted (washed, but not vacuumed), & the system fully explained before SWMBO was sent on her way

The only Fly in the Ointment was my admiration for the Superb estate that was on display inside, & her having to drag me away from it :giggle:

It's covered 2,300 miles this month, so the services will be cropping up regularly I guess?

We'll try them, as we're roughly in the middle of them & the Hunslet branch

Just a pity the one at South MIlford has closed, or am I dreaming that one up?

To be fair they have really turned this branch around and its one worth using. I`ve just traded my Fabia in for an Octavia there, got a decent deal, dealt with very well by Richard, for which many thanks. Service reception guy is excellent and works hard to keep you happy..Worth a try but yes everywhere in Yorkshire is DM Keith land now

I personally have used the car on 8 occasions the first 2 being test drives.

They have done MOT's and interval servicing to a very high standard.

But the best thing about the dealership is the fact they rang me when VOSA recalled the 2l 170PD injectors to replace them free of charge.

Excellent dealership who cant do enough to help.

after a five year span covering two fabias I have given up with skoda and bought a new fiesta.

the cars have been great but the dealership has been awful. its been a complete lack of care and poor service from the off.

I find it amazing that one dealership can hold such a monopoly on a brand..theres little choice if you want a skoda and live in west yorkshire.

The last occasion at ossett was an amazing waste of my saturday morning and they couldnt even organise an mot test, let alone the warranty parts that were orderd.

on "having a word" with the dealer principal on how embarrissing the whole episoded had been I just got a shrug and no real response or even a basic apology.

the dealership were aware I was due to change the car at the end of its warranty and yet even so The mistakes were left and i got my own mot test elswhere the same day and a month later orderd a new ford on the basis of the dealers attitude and service.

I'd shop around before trusting my car to this firm. theres better specialist servicing to be found elswhere...

if you want a real world oppinion on this lot ask any leeds taxi driver.

The Octavia's been across for its service today.

SWMBO dropped it off about 09:00, & I picked her up in 'Chin-Chin' (the Panda) after the 'school-run'

There were no issues for them to look at in particular, & we had 'no particularly desired time of return', but she got a call about 14:00 to say it was ready.

Took her back over & it wasn't washed, but he did apologise & say there was no Valeter in, but we could take it back at any time in the next week for a wash/vacuum/etc....

Digressing;

She did like the look of the Yeti inside, one of the 2WD Urbans :think:

I thought she was going to ask for a test-drive, if she's fancying one, it'd have to be a proper one (4WD) ,not a pretender

I can honestly say i hope you have not bought from ringways, you think skoda are bad but this ford dealer takes the biscuit, so instead

I used archbold workshop morley for ford repairs, cheaper than ringways and benfield and more of a old fashioned family business. I would recomend this garage to anyone.

I dont like ford or i would of bought a car from archbolds

I previously posted about an issue I had with this dealership, and in many respects that has not changed. However full marks to Ben Redfern of both DM Keith and this forum who has brought the issue to the attention of the dIrectors, resulting in a long and interesting phone call from Angus Keith this afternoon, who has taken my anger and concerns seriously. As a result I am happy to change the previous entry and pass on the fact that the top people in this firm do read what we write and in my case resolve it..

I still stand by the fact that they have some senior staff who are letting both themselves and the customers down but at least the `gaffers` know about it now and that makes all the difference...

A big thank you to Ben and Angus :thumbup: .............as a result will change my opinion and still use DM Keith but be a bit more selective as to which branch I use.
