Used this place several times (even when they were just a seat dealer) as Horners (just a few doors down) closed down about a year ago.

I've purchased brakes and the Seat splitter and I also had my 2nd yr service which brought up the leaking turbo seal (they were good at picking up my car the very next day to have it sorted).

Most recently I had a problem with my air blowers and had to leave it with them for 3 days while they removed the dash and replaced the faulty part. I was given a courtesy car (1.2 Seat ibiza) for the duration. My only bad points (which aren't major) are I had to call them to find out how my car is coming along dispite being told they would call me before 4:00 - and at the moment the serivce section is in the seat dealers room not skoda's so can get confusing as their are no signs (at the time).

I also know my father has just bought an Ocy Scout 4x4 from them so they must be doing summat right :)

I would like to give a big thumbs up to these guys

I have just collected my new Octavia vRS from them today and I must say the whole experience of buying a car from them has been excellent. I must of asked a million questions before committing myself to the purchase and I found the staff extremely patient and nothing was too much trouble. The sales staff are very helpfull and knowledgeable especially Anthony & Alec who are a credit to the dealership.

Thanks again and keep up the good work. See you soon.

Another thumbs up from me here.

My Fabia vRS went in for a 50k service and cambelt change yesterday. Not only were they far cheaper than the other two (admittedly Southern) Skoda dealers I tried, but the level of service was fantastic; really friendly and helpful - they even offered to phone my insurance company to enquire about getting a day's cover for the courtesy car.

The only slight fly in the ointment was the oily fingerprints down the nearside wing, but despite that it was still the most pleasant dealer service experience I've had in about 10 years! (And the air-fresher stuff they used smells great!)

Definitely recommended. :-)

a thumbs up from me too. The tyre pressure warning light came on on tuesday and after checking them and adding air light still on, thought i best get it checked out. on my way to Kwik siht i realised Hobbin right opposite so took it there.

only had to wait 5 mins before a tech came and looked at it. puncture in off side rear........new vreds  They fixed it for free and checked the oil and tyre treads on front and advised on these.

got made a brew and sat reading, watching tv and talking with friendly staff-cheers to Charlie

Kwik fit would have cost me no doubt and they would have tried to rip me off on the tyres too.

Nice 1 Hobin

Never actually used them, but I got a quote for new OEM front discs/pads, cambelt change, and new rear bushes on the front wishbone on a Fabia VRS. That came back at a laughably high £1,040 + VAT, approx £500 more than ***************** quoted for the same work.

Inappropriate inclusion of name of another Skoda dealer removed.

Defiantly a big thumb’s up from me!

Just had my car serviced at Hobin on Saturday, I waited with my two young children while my 20,000 mile service was carried out. The lady on the service desk was very nice, polite, and very good with my five year old; she even changed over the TV to cbeebies for her while we waited. Even making me coffee while seeing to other people.

The service carried out looks ok at the moment with a full tech report supplied with all the checks and tasks carried out, the price for this was very reasonable.

The car was also returned back to me having been cleaned and hovered out, fantastic!

Well done to all those at Hobin you are doing a great job.

:thumbup::rofl:

Not my nearest dealer but they had the model that I'm looking at, went in earlier today to test drive a 10 plate Octy vRS CR DSG with a view to buying a new one in the near future.

Very impressed, not pushy at all, knew their stuff (I went armed with info that I've gleaned from these fine pages so thanks folks) and told me some things that I didn't know.

Hobin did a first class job on warranty work repairing a jammed drivers window. They found an error code caused by a wrong code being entered when my towbar was wired up etc . and recoded - sorting the error.

Hobin did not supply my Yeti nor did they fit the tow-bar so an even better performance.:)

The dealership is only 7 miles from home so they have now got my business!!

Well done guys.

Yet again they came up trumps: I called in last Sunday to look at the Yeti 4x4 they had in the showroom but soon decided I didn't really need something Yeti size. I got talking to Gary and ended up taking their demo Fabia vRS out for a short test drive, I was impressed; size wise it better suited my needs than the Octavia that I test drove there in July however, I said that I'd like a longer test drive on some familiar roads so that I could get a real feel for the car and arrangements were made without a moments hesitation. Earlier today Anthony brought the Fabia to my home so that I could take an extended test drive

Great service and so long as the rest of the place is as well run as the sales we shouldn't have any problems.

Collected my new Octavia vRS from them on the 15th Jan 2011. Superb service, the sales manager came into work on his day off simply so I could collect the car (due to the deal I had) - who could complain about that kind of service.

used them three times - to purchase parking sensors, supply only.

First time, pleasant service, got a discount, well pleased (apart from SUK's stupid price of course!)

Second time, pleasant service, got a [smaller] discount when I asked for one, fairly well pleased.

Third time, sensor bought the first visit failed under warranty, Hobim will replace it but only if they do a scan and fit it (that's £45 please...) and then the muppet breaks the fitting in the bumper. Can't even change a parking sensor for god's sake - will not be going there for service! Not well pleased.

Hobins are not my local dealer at all but I went to look at an Octavia vRS they had for sale. The vehicle was second hand and competitively priced from the off. Long story short I bought the car (over the phone). They were helpful and friendly throughout and had a full service and cambelt change done before I collected the vehicle. Furthermore they worked hard to get the finance deal agreed on the day so I didn't have to travel down twice.

Throughout I dealt with Martin from sales. He is by far and away the friendliest sales person I've ever come across.

I took the car back on Friday to have a fault looked at. Again top service. They allowed my dog into the dealer, chatted and shared my enthusiasm for Skoda and to top it off they took a part off a brand new Octavia to get me on the road without delay.

Even though I'm based in Wales I'd happily travel back to Hobins to buy another Skoda.

Just bought my Roomster from these guys, they were very helpful and didn't pressurise me (to much anyway) into buying it. THough I did know more about the offer than the first sales guy did, mind you I spent a few weeks looking at all the options.

Once bought, got regular updates on what was happening and then pick up day arrived and everything went without a hitch. Oh and a nice cheap deal on the 3 years parts and servicing monthly payment plan. It will cost me less in 3 years than what the X-Trail costs in 1!! :)

Would recommend them to anyone looking for a Skoda in the Manchester area.

I'm very disappointed with the Sales side, after calling into look at the build quality of the new Octavia with a view to ordering a 2.0 TDI Combi Elegence.

I'd decided on some expensive options but the salesman was trying to talk me out of them ???? Then I had to correct him on some of the details about the car, which we confirmed when "we" looked at the brocure. Didn't seem at all interested about doing any form of a deal and wouldn't even look at any figures.

This is now Lookers Skoda/Seat.

Took my Blackline in yesterday for it's 2nd service @19,000 miles.

Costas who deals with servicing enquiries is quite a funny guy and dealt with me no problem.

They also replaced my rear wiper motor as it had gone faulty like a few others have.

Thumbs up from me!

This might edge it over Lookers Stockport - I'm about half-way between the two of them distance wise :)

Looking to book in my first annual service on the Yeti :)
