Evap Simplification

Recommended Posts

Quite a simple thing but another step on tidying up the engine bay.

I've disconnected one of the two pipes from the evap system to the intake, enabling removal of the hard lines on the side of the engine block which were mostly unused after the N249 and SAI removal.

This is how it looks now

Had to disconnect this to be able to remove the hard lines

Lost more water than I meant to

This is what came out

So this is the new look engine diagram. Getting there!

well done Rob. any side effects of this...

Is'nt there a pipe coming from the turbo pipe somewhere going to the evap system?

I recall another small black hose connected to the metal hard lines at the back end.

Cheers

Mark

Nice one Rob

You gonna remove the suction spray pump system? Mine's been running great without it for about 2500miles now, so consider that road tested! Pretty nice not having to worry about any vac lines under the inlet manifold!

I'm getting really tempted to plug the breather port on the turbo intake hose, and then just fit a small breather filter onto the outlet of the catch can. I might just get on and try it actually.

Clive, get some photos up!

Yes that's my next task - want to do it in stages so I don't mess it up!

And I need to get it tidied as much as possible before my FMIC arrives :D
