Date of registration: Sept 12. Bought Jun 13 ex demo. 1500 m.

Colour: Racing Blue

Traded in 03 BMW 530d estate as no longer needed for commuting and not economic for urban driving. The Fabia estate combines real load carrying ability with huge, smile inducing fun. It is also more economical than I thought it would be, and the "oil issue" has not been an issue.

Done 3 long weekends in the Highlands and it carried 2 adults and 2 kids and all our kit comfortably. Ate up the A9 and all the wiggly bits on the map. The long road from Gairloch to Inverness was a particular treat. 50mpg average.

In town the hard ride took a bit of time to get used to, especially over Edinburgh's cobbles. Fitted with Dunlops ex dealer, and changing them may be useful. Skoda dealer offering to supply steel wheels and winter tyres and send alloys to a tyre hotel...

Bought an aftermarket armrest, but otherwise no other additions. Came with heated seats (to be replaced due to a recall), and reversing sensors. Would have liked Bluetooth, but there is always parrot.

Overall a great car which reminds me a lot of my Dad's triumph dolomite sprint, but without the bri nylon seats.

You get to know when they lie,  their lips move.

Not going to sell many if thats what they say.

Now if he had said not to a Monte Carlo, then he might have been half right, but even they can have Mud Flaps.

EDIT, after reading post #310

Ebay will get you them for Much Cheapness, and easy to fit.

I would not give the Dealer the sale.

Colour: Race Blue

Options fitted: Race Blue Metalic, Black Roof, 17" Black Grigaro Wheels, Rear Parking Sensors, 2-yr extended warranty.

My mums first vRS at the ripe age of 65   Her old Fabia Mk2 (1.2 12v) developed some serious engine issues, the dealer offered a fair trade-in (given the cost to repair).  The vRS had been sitting in their showroom for 6-months, only 11 miles on the clock, they wanted it shifted, so was a bit of a steal (almost £4.5k below list price with options).  She's developed a rebellious streak since receiving it, as evidenced below...

It's the wife's new car for her daily commute - I am a little bit jealous!

Found out today that the car also has the tyre pressure monitoring system. I think the only options not ticked by the previous owner were the sunglasses holder and the under-seat storage; seems to have everything else (no doubt someone will be along shortly to prove me wrong!).

Mrs T absolutely loves it, and even commuting through Lincoln every day is getting over 30 mpg, so matching what she was getting in the Ka.
