  1. 1. Would you keep the iRC stickers on your vRS

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

A bit of a silly one but just wanted to see what people make of the new iRC stickers on the vRS.

My car being a late 2011 build came with them, I didnt really want them or like them but kept them on for a while to see if I'd grow to like them......needless to say I didnt so the wing and rear window stickers were removed today whilst giving the thing it's first wash.

Votes please!

Wing stickers are very poor quality, dont think they would have lasted very long anyway. Gave one a slight tweek with my nail to see how well stuck they were, got damaged and had to come off. Both sets (wing and window) v easy to remove

car definitely looks cleaner without them. They're not tacky but do think they are somewhat of an after-thought. If the wing stickers didnt have the year on and were painted would be OK i guess

Need pictures to see what they look like. Isn't there one in the rear window too?

If you do a quick search in the forum for "VRS - IRC CHAMPION 2010" you’ll find a post from '32KOFDATA' who’s made a Pdf of the iRC stickers compared with the original ones.

Interesting views, was expecting more people to be negative about the stickers.....car without doubt looks better without them so I'm glad they're gone on mine. I'm also not that bothered Skoda won the 2010 iRC championship not why I bought the car haha

Just out of interest, whats the best way to get the stickers off with damage to the pain?

Razor blade and coarse sand paper to finish? Blow torch and scrapper seems a little like overkill :giggle:

Also got a dealership sticker in the back window which i want to get off & a Skoda assist on the windscreen. I thought they might peel off nicely, but no luck

Any hints appreciated

The wing stickers I peeled off with my nails, came off in bits but without leaving any marks or glue. Rear window sticker came off easily by hand and in one piece. Dealer stickers are often a pain though, didnt have any one mine fortunately!

I quite like the stickers. The only one I don't want is the dealer one in the rear window. I'll have to tell them not to put it on. Not that fussed having dealer markings on the plates either but I'm hoping to get some Dubmeister ones

Yep definitely surprised by the response on this, was definitely expecting more negativity about the stickers as whilst they arent bad they are an acquired taste.

Those of you still waiting for your cars that are going to keep them on, be interested to see how long the wing stickers last before they start coming away from the car. They seemed way too easy to damage and remove; also appeared that dirt was already starting to ingress around the edges of mine; on a white car not good!

I did quite like the rear window sticker but personally I still think the vRS looks much better without all the decals. Let Skoda advertise their rally wins on billboards, not our cars I say!
