Jabba'd Again!

Featured Replies

Back in 2007 we got our first Skoda, a 1.8t Octavia well and truly Jabba'd - custom remap, Ferrodo pads, anti-rollbar and Eibach springs and dampers. It was like buying a new car for less than a grand. ( Our second Skoda, a diesel Octavia DSG also benefitted from a remap ). This year the wife fancied a new-ish car and so we trundled off to our local Skoda dealer, the very good Transcity Skoda, where Warren set us up to part exchange with a second hand Skoda Octavia VRS 2.0. The better half was taken by the style upgrade from the 1.8t to VRS. Transcity are very much used to modified Skodas and, to a man, they noted that our Jabba'd 1.8t octavia was the best set up Octavia they had driven. This was a tad perturbing since the VRS seemed significantly skittish when pushed. There was only one option - Jabba.

Kevin was a star - on discussion we settled on a remap, springs, anti-rollbar, Ferrodo brakes and the engine upgrade. Once again, a car transformed and a very happy wife. I have to say, Jabba are a professional setup that is still family run, and they know their cars. They have now upgraded three cars for us and we have only been continually impressed with the service and professionalism. They deliver serious performance upgrades combined with improved economy. Many thanks to Kevin, Carole and Brian.

Just need Kevin to work out how to take a Superb V6 to R36 performance levels!

That means, 0-60 in 5 seconds or less & at least 165 mph!!!

Not sure it is quite that fast - but the wife probably gets close - thank god I've got her to brake in straight lines!

But a year on, still great fun to drive - great throttle response and handling - a true joy on Suffolk B roads.
