Ignoring torque ratings and the like, can use a normal OEM spec Sachs clutch with your lightened SMF on my PD160 Ibiza?

In theory yes, but the original friction plate isn't sprung because the dual mass flywheel is. So we usually recommend a sprung friction plate.

OK, so it physically bolts together but I'd need a sprung friction plate - makes sense. thank you

I`m using the Jabba SMF and normal Sachs clutch (for DMF) Its rather noisy. Works well enough, but the sprung pressure plate is on my list of things to buy, when I can locate one that is.
