Got these a weeks back

Seen them on Rob's cars and thought they looked nice.

Managed to get round to getting them sprayed and pics pics of fitting. Was nervous cutting holes in bumper but went for it.

in the kit you get:

2 x vents
2 x templates
1 x tube of tiger seal
1 x small sand paper

They are adhesive so you cut the shape out and stick to the position each side of bumper

you drill a starter hole then i used a jig saw carefully( I don't have SMIC so had space to drill)

and template removed

I dummy fitted the vents for size and fit

This is when i realised it was going to be a job to get a good flush fit of vent to bumper. The vents fitted ok, but the slight curve in bumper was not the same as the vents so this was a challenge and i nearly ditched them. (Rob did not have this issue if I recall) I decided to go for it

Then you apply tiger seal to vent

next pics are the extent I had to go to to butt them up to bumper how i wanted it. (tape was no going to work)

cable ties, clamps and weighted tool box's were the choice

Can see from the inside with headlight removed where the vent hole are to the CAI.

Bumping up an old post I know, but I need a pair of these vents, problem is I don't have a Skoda.  :x

I looked on Milotecs site here:

 http://milotec.de/index.php?cat=c277_Sports-grille---Front-spoiler.html&XTCsid=d899e5120fc949151eddf13c839cf2f9

And they list two types:

Type one:

 Octavia I Sedan 4/97-8/00

Octavia I Combi 7/97-8/00

Type 2:

Octavia I Sedan Facelift 9/00-

Octavia I RS Sedan 5/01-
Octavia I Combi Facelift 9/00-
Octavia I RS Combi 8/02-

Would anyone know the difference between the two?  I contacted Milotec, but got no reply.
