Mr Babs! Please elaborate! It's been a while since I've participated in a "MACZ R EXPENSIVE PCz!!1!1eleven!" flame war

Also I'm feeling a "battle stations" thread...

I don't like the 13" and feel the 17" is too big to carry around. So it was an obvious choice for a top spec 15".

I can kind of see your point - although I wanted to 1920x1200 resolution mainly with mine. Also you could have a 32 inch MBP (lol) and it would be more portable than any rival 15" PC laptop. Well, not quite, but you get my point...

I get it :) I went for the Hi-Res display.

Mine is a 2009 vintage 20" iMac :)

Dell Steak for out and about.

Netbook for portable basic computing, viewing and editing business documents etc.

A DIY build AMD 6 core 3.4GHz processor with 16GB Ram, OCZ Vertex 3 SSD, 1TB Maxtor storage drive, Hazro 30" monitor (2560 x 1600 resolution) for heavy duty work and photo processing / editing.

I have a 2011 HP Pavillion Slimline PC

13" 2010 Macbook Pro with 8GB ram,

27" 2011 iMac upgraded to 16GB ram.

2010 HP Mediasmart EX495 running Windows 2008 R2 (not the original WHS) which was a pain to install due to it not having any video output.

Dell Steak for out and about.

mmmm, Steak!! :strong:

I have a wifi hotspot implant in my head, my mind interfaces directly with the web.

I know what you're thinking. No really, and I understand.

I use my Mac Book Pro, My New iPad or my iPhone.

A 9yr old home built XP machine with an Athlon 3000+ and enough fans to suck the cat through the case if he gets too close.

Not very cutting edge.

Asus 1005P Netbook for home. HP ProBook 6560b for work.

AN I5, a Q6600, a Core2duo EE, 2 netbooks and a laptop (all intel)

If you want specific let me know lol

Various.

Mostly my ipad but if I need a computer its a 2007 core2duo laptop or 2005 Dell mini tower.

Asus X72JR (I5-520m, 8GB, ATI MR HD5470, Corsair F120+500GB 7200rpm) and a custom built rig with Phenom 2 [email protected], 16GB 1600mhz, X-Fire ATI Radeon HD6970, Corsair F120, 2TB 7200rpm.

I've got some serious hardware at work however.

self built with Pentium Smithfield dual core processor 2X2.66Ghz, 8Gb Ram, 1Tb hard drive dual boot with Win 7 Pro 32 and 64 bit and soon to triple boot with Ubunt 64 bit, Nvidia Graphics card and PNY sound card. I'm not going back to the other thread but I wipe it with Tesco's own :giggle:

Just salvaged a Samsung R519 laptop (it was about to be skipped) with Celeron Dual-Core 1.90GHz × 2. The fault lay with the power lead, so I stripped it near where the jack goes into the 'puter and a wire was broken! Temp fixed with electrical tape and spit. Needs 3 new keys (I moved the Windows key 'cos who uses that anyway to the J and an I and an O key) Installed the latest Ubuntu and hey presto! a dual core lappy with 160Gb HDD, DVD/CD RW, wi-fi, webcam for nowt!

My first PC came from the local tip for a fiver, it's amazing what the everyday folks leave behind!

Nothing fruit based...

Sony Viao as it happens, and that is used primarily as a music streamer, and then as a photo editor - the screen is actually better than a macbook IMO which was the key criteria. I have some cheap crap thing for general surfing etc.
