A quick hello

Featured Replies

Hi all

Im a 30 year old gardener form milton keynes and I'm looking at getting a mk1 fabia vrs very soon, a friend of mine has a nice black 55 plate he is looking to sell soon and I'm looking to upgrade from my current daily hack to something a little(alot) more refined.

My current daily beater is this old smoker, shes a 97 mk3 tdi estate, lowered on coils with. Vento front and vr6 splitter, I run it on veggie oil and it's sooooo cheap to smoke about in, but sadly to rust has got to it and it's going to have go towards to end of the year.

As she sits now on some banded g60's

I also have a mk2 95 Toyota Mr2 t-bar turbo, this is my baby as I have had it for 9 years this October.

She was running a spirited 315 bhp but last September the engine let go and is currently undergoing a forged rebuild in order to get some serious power out if the little four pot.

Hope you like, these cars are a total contrast but I love em both.

I'll be trawling through the forums to get as much info as possible and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

I was out having a blast in the mr2 and the car park was empty so I thought it was a ideal time to get some pics, it's about 5 minutes from my house.

Ok so I went for a blast in my mates fabia vrs the other day and omg, I was so shocked how quick it was.

It's a black magic 55 plate done 87k, it's got factory fitted xenons, heated seats, heated mirrors, a/c and climate control, cruise control, and leather gear knob steering wheel and handbrake.

It's been chipped to around 170bhp and has been lowered on coilovers and all the front has been polybushed, rebadged and has got tinted windows all round, it's currently on 16" steels finished in black.

The only downside is that it is using a bit of water and he suspects head gasket but I'm hoping for a coolant hose leak or something cheap and easy fix, worse case is head gasket and I've been quoted £400 to have that done, then I'll have a nicely spec'd fab for decent money.

Hoping to get it all sorted this week as he is looking at a new car tomorrow and seems positive about it, so fingers crossed.

I'll post some pics of the lil beast when she is in my possession.

Cheers

Steve

You must have some very understanding police in your part of the world. You would not last 5 minuets with that glass here.
