hello all
I've had a read through the forum and cant seem to find an answer to my question.
I've got a vrs 51 plate on 92k the steering wheel isn't straight and you have to hold the car in a straight line if you take you hands off the wheel it jumps to the left. I've had it laser tracked by two different people the second time was told it was 3 degrees out the set it but the wheel still wasn't straight and the car still pulled.
I've since replace the anti roll bar D bushes and the lower arm bushes with the TT solid ones. ive got a slight knocking which sounds like a drop link im going to replace next week. is there anything else i should change before getting it tracked again? or is there anything else i should be looking for?
I've checked tyres pressures as do them once a month ive swapped the wheels left to right but still does the same. my dads suggested changing wheels front to back but cant see this making any difference. its really bugging me now i just wanna get it sorted.
thanks for any advice
chris

i had this on my octy 1, i had two different tyres on the front and even though the same size had different characteristics. As regards the steering wheel off centre it needs to be held central first then tracking set.
BTW with my tyres the tracking was perfect, still went left

I had this problem until recently and strange as it seems it was down to the offside lower arm bush had collapsed ( but there was lots of bad knocking and creaking under breaking ) replaced the lower arm got it tracked and now sits true

if you have replaced bushs then there isn't much more you can do, maybe just check both top mounts sit even and in middle of hole under bonnet,
You could also check rear axle bushs as if one of them is worn then it could be steering car to one side
I fitted some cheap tt bushs and one of them destroyed itself in 2 weeks so fitted the better ones, swopped to cast arms a few months back and the other set of tt bushs were shot again, only been in a year,
now fully superpro'd including rear end so see how these last
