Originally painted the radio and surrounds and switches and gear stick surround in a metalic pewter colour. That started peeling so I'm now redoing it in black/chrome. Currently done the heater surround in black magic and obtained chrome k-nobs from super skoda.

It was a photo that started it all... Noticed that all of the little plastic bits had slightly different colours.

Currently it's a bit 1/2 arst but chrome knobs and black magic surrounding the heater look pretty good. The chrome reflects nicely off the gloss black of the paint. Eventually will redo the symphony in black magic and probably use chrome air-drain film on the buttons/switches. Can get the odd A4 sheet of it from eBay for <£5.

All i've done to my interior is replace the interior lights for LEDs, replaced the green LED on the lock button for a red LED, fitted a handsfree mic into the interior light, replaced the standard stereo with an after market, fitted the drinks holder next to the stereo and also replaced the rear coin holder/ash tray for the drinks holder as well. :)

I wrapped my vents in gloss black vinyl, it looked really good but the heat has got to it since and it's got a few bubbles now :(

I'm going to spray them with plastidip some point in the future along with a few other parts :)

What centre arm rest and drinks cup holder instead of ashtray do I need to get? Are they in other VAG car's?

You can get a Skoda side mount single cupholder from

Skoda but they are about £36, Dear for what they are. .

A golf mark 4 armrest will "bodge" in but won't be plug and play.

Or there's an Armster armrest available as well, around the £50+ mark.

Even they require some fettling.
