I bought a 300 from the group buy & come to put the camera in today & it keeps telling me to check the SD card.

I have tried 4 different formatted SD cards & get the same issue when inserting the card, 3 of them were 8gb cards, 1 supplied with SWMBO,s 380, 1 sandisk SDHC, i kingston SDHC & a 4gb sandisk SHDC.

Please can anyone help as i now have an unused Blackvue 300 camera and unable to insert an SD card to work with it.

Is there an option to format the card in the Blackvue?

Have you tried removing all partition information and letting the Blackvue initialise the SD card itself?

I cannot get the Blackvue sd format software from the site as the link to the site is down.

Do a slow format on an SD card and try it with this blank card.

If it doesn't work get the unit back to me for replacement.

Have you tried doing a proper long format of the card on a PC?

After that I can only suggest checking connections

Try this SD formatter. "Slow" formatting in Windows only checks for "bad blocks" in addition to creating a new pair of file allocation tables, so it is unlikely to help.

Did the low level erase etc using the link provided above & am not a happy bunny- Got the ladies voice saying " Please check sd card " :'(

Irritating thing is when i bought the kingston 8gb card & put it in my 300 unit it worked, & it currently works in SWMBO's ( which is where it is staying)

I had a spare 8GB sd card in my old phone before upgrading to an iphone. I reformated that, put it in and said no sd card inserted, stuck it back into the Laptop, tried transfering all the data over, plugged it back in and still no joy. Put my 4GB (the original it came with) back in and it worked fine. Im not mithered as this 4gb is big enough for the miles i do a day.
