So, i'v removed my cat. replaced with pipe. same as the back box with my tip. and still no pigeon noise. is there another silencer i'm missing here guys or?

It should do it with the cat off, what size pipe have you used?

Is there a centre silencer too? The pigeon noise isn't just about the exhaust from memory. Its also (potentially, I am not 100% on it) not necessarily a desirable noise in terms of performance (i.e its the sound of air being stuck somewhere and having to escape, hence the "wooowwoooo")

Not all do it, it's ******* annoying after a day or so anyway so you're not missing much lol

I heard it depends how they are mapped. Mines shark mapped and never did it at all!

Its just standard size mate, and not that i know of as the pipe is straight through haha. and i guess so, i do have a nice noise now though coming threw, you can here the turbo whistling away, and it sounds awesome when u hit turbo and higher. And another point is you can't here it to dramatically in the car either! win win i guess.

Mine was really loud when it came onto boost it sounded awesome but a bit higher up the rev range and it sounded ****. Not to mention at low speeds and low rpm it sounded **** too!

it's not stupid loud like a chavvy loud. i think it sounds awesome lol. i was hoping for pigeon noise tho :( haha

So was I deep down but it didn't do it at all, I had a silencer put in a couple of months ago

That's just how mine sounds! Im so gutted though that i dont get the whoooooo pigeon noise.. :(

And me and my friend was pondering around at the unit earlier and found a bmw exhaust with a smaller silencer, we cut the silencer off the pipe and left it ready to be welded in tomorrow... so i'm gunna cut the pipe and weld the silencer in place to get rid of some of the "v8 tractorness" as my friends call it.

my mates dads audi "owled" with a standard exhaust. . . had a new turbo fitted. . dint do it again. . .

think it had an acctuator problem that caused it.

i think in that case its not a good noise lol

My turbo with mufflerectomy used to whistle loads and sounded brilliant...

New turbo was then fitted and no wooshes at all.
