stereo losing memory

Featured Replies

Hi!!

New Here and to the skoda world also!!

Wonder if anyone could help with my stereo problem!!

Ive recently switched my strero over from the kenwood one in the car when i bought the car. ive changed it to the sony one i previously had in my old car. it went in fine and work great! appart from its lossing its memory when the ignition is turned off!!

am i right in thinking i need a new connection block spacific to the skoda's?

thanks for looking!!

Regards

Stuart

Swap the red and yellow (not 100%) over on the head unit wiring loom, if it's a relatively new unit it would have the connectors to be able to do this easily.

I assume you had to change the connector when switching from a kenwood to a sony headunit.

If so then the new connector will need the red and yellew connectors switched so the yellow goes to the red and vise-versa.

That should give you your premanant live so it keep memory then.
