Cambelt interval

Featured Replies

Hi guys, bought my fabia vrs last 'summer' and I was told the Cambelt, that was changed nearly 5 years ago and at 45k, is an 'uprated' one that lasts 100k instead of 60k standard. Should I take this as nonsense and get it changed now? As its now on 105k and 4.5 years on...thanks :)

Cambelts are 60k or 4 years

Rubber deteriorates :)

Get it changed

Yeah think that's the best option, don't want to risk it!

4 years or 75k miles I was told by a local Skoda dealer recently. In your case I wouldn't chance it, get it changed, and the water pump to saved on labour costs.
