bulb light

Featured Replies

Bulb light on but everything seems to be working headlights brake lights normal lights numberplate lights interior lights any body any idea what it could be

I had this recently, and VCDS said it was the number plate light - yet the bulb appeared OK.

I checked the number plate light fitting and found that the clips that hold the bulb weren't holding the bulb tight enough.

A touch of adjustment and all is now OK.

Good luck

I'd remove them one by one and then re-add them. Start with the rear. I had the same problem. It was the fog light, but still worked. Reseated and all was ok.

Check the brake lights - they are different to others (different wattage). The wrong ones will bring on the bulb warning. If you're still having trouble, a quick VCDS scan should reveal which one is giving grief.

Found it was one of sidelights not working you don't notice if you don't use them

Bummer, don't you just hate it when the warnings are right!:hi:
