I want my Rapid 130 to be really light weight. Any suggestions how much weight I can save and were to start? Under 800kg would be nice

My mk1 Estelle has a plastic bonnet and is stripped out with various lightweight parts an d no bumpers but has a roll cage and it is about 825kg. Start by getting rid of the interior - seats, foam sound proofing, scrape the sound proofing from under the carpets, you could also replace the glass windows with Perspex, fit a Felicia starter in place of the Estelle item, ditch all 'trim' in the engine bay, lose the spare wheel carrier and bumpers - all that lot should easily get you under 800kg.

any steel you do keep can be drilled where appropriate to loose more weight.
