Hello all, I am new to the forum having just purchased a Skoda Octavia 2.0 Elegance. One issue is the little mirror switch is broken and I am trying to source another one. The ones I keep finding on ebay look a little different to mine.

I would be grateful for any assistance in making sure I get the correct one.

Mine looks like yours (2001, Elegance). Either a dealer, or a visit to the scrap yard...

Thanks for your reply. I take it the other sort will not work in this then? Anyone got a link to a parts catalogue or know the part number? Not many scrap yards around here or much else for that matter. Thanks again.

If you pop the switch out you should be able to find the part number on the back.

I am not sure if the "wrong" type will work or not. I think I might have borrowed one from my last visit to a scrap yard :-)

Thanks, I had not considered that. They look like a sealed unit but I have not taken it out of the plastic trim yet.

Well for anyone interested the other version like I linked does work perfectly fine even though the symbols are different and in different places.
