Having recently Purchased my 230 from these guys i must say a very friendly and unpressurising sale tactic(no hard sell), actually very enjoyable

a pleasure to deal with.

Sales: I bought the sales manager's demo, a 2016 Corrida red Superb Sportline 2.0 TSI 220 DSG. I think traffic sign reader, lane assist and heated rear seats were among the few extras not on the the car. I had two demonstration rides, then made the sale. They gave me more for my 2008 Brera than the Alfa dealer offered and I got £9K off the list for a car with 1,700 miles on it. So, I was happy with the deal.

Service: I went back several times to ask questions about the new car. How do you get access to the interior fuse box? Where is the OBD2 fitting? Why is my Columbus navigation update download refusing to install? All these questions were answered with a smile and people went out of their way to show me the solutions to my problems. I was moved to write to the dealership saying how happy I was with the service I received.

I suppose this goes for any franchised dealership, but I was a little shocked when I found out their service labour charge is £105/hour.

(Edit: Although they are part of the S.G. group, they trade under Marshall Skoda.)

Service: I went to them on the 10th March for an annual service as part of my free service plan when I purchase at another dealership. Nothing bad to report, courtesy car was a Citigo which was as expected. Polite, friendly and always greeted with a smile. They went thought exactly what was done and left the remainder of the screen wash in the boot and the car was cleaned. I also asked for the headlights to be adjusted to the maximum legal height which they did (this makes such a big difference in the mk2 Fabia).  All positive and even courtesy call the next day.

£105/hr is really not unusual for car dealerships in the Greater London areas.

Hi freelunch,

The Marshall group bought out the S G Smith Group in Nov 2015 so they are correct in using "Marshall Skoda" as their trading name , though still the same S G Smith staff working there & still using their S G S email addresses, not changed over to Marshall email system yet.
