Major Service, Whats included?

I have booked my car in for a Major service with my local dealer in Swansea. Would just like to know what is included in this service?? 

 

I was going to ask this jeff guy who booked me in but he seemed a bit too miserable to have a decent convo with lol. This is my first main dealer service for this car. The previous owners have had main dealer services as well but in Reigate where the car was registered, so I might as well keep the book in order.

When mine had its 4yr (major service) it had oil & filter,air filter,pollen filter & spark plugs changed & a diagnostic check & a  inspection  which didnt involve taking the wheels off,brake fluid is due every 2 years after the ist change at 3 years old so you may need this doing on yours,depending on the age of your car & its engine you may need your timing belt doing if your car is 4 years old. Mine is a 2008 petrol vrs.

Ahhh thanks for info guys my car is 55 plate with 92k on the clock.  I am being charged £249.00 for this service.

Fair play at having main dealer servicing, but at 92k and at a '55 plate, i personally wouldnt bother going main dealer as

your paying a premium and its not a cost you will recoup when you sell or p/ex.

 

 

Is there not an independant VAG specialist near you that will do a better price?

No local  independent VAG dealers but the nearest one is 30 miles away lol

I've got a main dealer and specialist dealer available, and oddly the main dealer was better price on my last service (which admittedly was only the minor annual one.)
