Recommended Posts

well i tried the A1 2.0 tdi today, the engine is a peach, brings back happy memories of my mk1 vrs but omg the rear seats are quite possibly THE worst ever ever e.v.e.r. made

ive found comfier park bench's so thats off my list of possible new cars

the engine was great though so might have to be an A3 or a Golf

So approximately a couple of weeks on and from a fairly static 55 used S1's in the Audi used section I see that it is now 47,so 8 sold(?)

Why is that, are prices now falling , poor sales figures and the 15 plate gets nearer?

Some price movement is taking place now I believe as there are a number of 3 dr cars in the mid £22k region.

eg.http://www.audi.co.uk/used-cars/used-car-locator/vehicle.aspx?wflw=se_na_ve_vi&ctr=1825808&vhl=604677479&srcmdc=se_na_re_

Has anyone on this site taken ownership of one of the 8 recently sold and if so did you get a special deal /PX etc?

So they have sold another 4 in the last week. Some of the lower priced ones I note. Now 43 in Audi UK dealerships.

Currently cheapest nationally £21980 http://www.audi.co.uk/used-cars/used-car-locator/a1/2.0-tfsi-quattro-231ps/carlisle/604742461-1416662.aspx?srcmdc=se_na_re_

Must be deals out there to start clearing demo stock for those that like the car.

Waiting to here from new owners .Please! What deals?

I take it these are in this First Registered then.

Showing only up to the last Quarter 2014.

300 & 7 on SORN at that point.

Maybe another amount were first registered in the last quarter. If so that would be near as many in 9 months

as the A1 185ps had first registered in the UK in its Production Run.

George,

Hardly see any on the roads around me.

There must be a lot of pre-registered in dealers not yet advertised for sale?

Rental companies or wherever.

It looks like getting on for 25 S1 quattro 2.0 TSI currently on Autotrader.

http://autotrader.co.uk

I wonder when Audi will have to take action to stop them looking like a residual disaster if they sit around not selling.

Maybe they would have had more of a market if they had the option of the DSG.

but then again maybe not.

?

How many people will want to go and buy one of their Yellow Ex Demonstrators with cash money,?

hardly likely to be a future classic!

Agree with you about having the flexibility of option,DSG. However, just adds another £1500 to an already over priced car.

Would be interesting to hear from an Audi salesperson on selling issues.

Wonder how many EU /GLOBAL sales for the S1?

Audi & VW obviously worry less about 'Penetration' (of the market) than Skoda did.

Because the percentage of Polo GTI & A1 185 ps Twincharger sold was abysmal,

& we will see if the Face Lift ones are better sellers.

as to the S1 quattro TSI 2014, it might be a special case rather than a basket case.

So Used /demos gone back up to 51 UK Dealers stock .

Appear to have shifted all the few under £23k cars. over the last month and a few above.

Audi still sitting on stock, resisting cutting and subsidising dealer sales, prior to March face lifted models / new reg..

Just spotted 1 @£22990 and a few @ £23850.

Top price - would you believe it £32230!!! http://www.audi.co.uk/used-cars/used-car-locator/a1/2.0-tfsi-231ps-quattro/solihull/604841611-1492039.aspx? srcmdc=se_na_re_

WTF.

The very well spec'd Polo GTI 5 DR Manual @ approx £ 21 770 must be a much better bet package. Albeit 0-60 6.9 compared to 5.9 sec.

Bigger boot and more internal space.https://imagecom.volkswagen.co.uk/api/image/v2/car/vw/polo-gp/1913/2099/2b2b/xe/1mg.40p.6xq.ph2.pla.pnc.ww1/exterior-rear/1024.png?context=publish

'Audi Main Dealers'  might not drop the price, (might not be allowed to!)  but maybe they can give a Very Good trade in on

your old car. (Keeping Audi's high Residuals Reputation.)

So maybe the place for anyone wanting to move on a MK2 vRS when they are getting offered poor trade in prices elsewhere.

Cheapest :http://www.audi.co.uk/used-cars/used-car-locator/vehicle.aspx?wflw=se_na_ve_vi&ctr=9049&vhl=604725831&srcmdc=se_na_re_

Crazy Most expensive:http://www.audi.co.uk/used-cars/used-car-locator/vehicle.aspx?wflw=se_na_ve_vi&ctr=1492039&vhl=604841611&srcmdc=se_na_re_

Anyone know current number of cars registered in the UK since the launch.

Currently 50 still in dealerships as used.

No Briskoda Members, owning the S1 has given a review on this site yet. It would be good to have some feedback of ownership.

Any briskoda members negotiated a good deal recently on new or used?

That expensive one is up at a crazy price, it's not even available until the end of April lol! And it will have been the showroom model so had lots of random peoples fingers all over it.

Still 51 in dealerships ,with little signs of Audi dealers reducing asking prices. Unless you know better with deals being had.

Must be a slower take up than the Fabia vRS MK2 in 2010 /11.

So it was approximately 1500 sold within 18 month of the official launch for the Fabia vRS MK2.@ approx. £14000 selling price

Some how I have my doubts that the S1 will surpass that @ £26000 average advertised selling price. Especially  with no real deal for the coming!

Interesting, so we have a S1  284 BHP owner on this site. . Guess it's a bit difficult to post details.

I'll checkout to see if it's on an Audi owners club for a review - wonder what other mods apply, to constrain the extra grunt.

http://www.diesel-performance.co.uk/vehicle-audi_s1_2.0-tfsi-231ps

So get this one for say £22000=22500 then strap on the tuning box etc. and 284 bhp fun car?

This looks like the bolt on unit that the Briskoda Members has fitted to his S1.

It would be good to have a user review of the unit in action!?

PM me  with detailed review and I will enter, so as not to expose you.

Owing to no on going  review coming forth from an Owner Member, then I will resort to the next best thing.

http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-reviews/long-term-tests/audi/audi-s1-sportback-2014-long-term-test-review/

Unfortunately no DSG for some.

So 48 now on Audi website, have they sold 3 in a week .Yippee!

So a further month on and now 65 used / demo S1 on the Audi UK website.

S1 sales must be PANTS for Audi!!

Perhaps we will see a sales promotion drive soon!

Cheapest one in UK :http://www.audi.co.uk/used-cars/used-car-locator/a1/2.0-tfsi-quattro-231ps/yeovil/604934655-21453.aspx?srcmdc=se_na_re_

£22780

The arrival of the Polo GTI and the on going success of the Fiesta ST,  must be impacting on S1 sales.
