Hi all,

My vrs had it'sfirst cambelt service today.

I've just driven her home and she isn't the same......for example, sat on my drive just now in neutral she won't rev above 2500rpm. I don't think she did in any gear all the way home actually now I think about it.

Plus when I do rev her there is like a grating noise coming from the engine.

I have no warning lights.

Can someone tell me if anything else gets reset when they do a cambelt service?

Hi

Mine doesn't rev above 2500 in Neutral either that's normal I think it's something to do with emissions. But I'm sure if you press the traction control or something like that at it will actually then rev above 2500 in neutral. Not sure about the grinding noise though that doesn't sound good.

Lol, owned the car for four years and never realised that about 2500rpm......

Although in my defence i never sit there revving it, so would never have found out!

Only did it cos it wasn't driving quite right on the way home.

Anyway, been for a run in it just now and it seems to be ok again, so not sure what that was all about this afternoon......?

Will keep an eye on it.

Thanks all,

H
