I wanted these to sit lower than the original position but it probably isn't to far away in the end.

The front was then fitted with a new strut, lowering spring, front disk and pads. New zinc plated nuts and bolts were fitted to..

This has came such a long way in what I consider to be a short time !

pick up looks great and the fun deserves a place on the road av always liked there quirkiness

You have Adressed the only issue I ever seen wrong on the car and that was the yellow wheels but your bbs rims look the mutts!

Have seen otherswith there standard wheels painted in silver and anthracite many years ago!

Can't be many of these limited editions still running about?

What if any other plans you have for it after rebuild.

Once again looks mint!

It needs a new sump now and I'm going to wax oil all the underside with black and in all the cavities with clear.

Engine wise etc it will be staying totally standard

I know what I would do to if I had the above to lol

I bought the fun for £175 and it has 79000 on the clock.

Iv done 3 scrappy runs for it and the best find was the deep skoda smoked wind deflectors for a fiver. Also doing a deal for the paint

It's being done on a budget but I decided to spend it wisely on the right parts

Bad day today:( And the passenger side rear truckman glass smashed...

Are these still available as a spare?

Or does anyone have a spare? (Long shot I know)

I need the lock handle and struts to...

I'm willing to pay what it takes...

Small world indeed:)

Iv managed to find a donor roof but I'm getting crazy prices of £500 to collect and deliver it!

Still have some work to freshen up the underside and various other bits and bob. Aiming for an mot in 2 weeks.. Stepped off the gas with it a bit but that should still be achievable!

Nothing like putting yourself under pressure !!!

It takes me more weeks to wash Hoover and Polish a 2 year old car !

Doner roof is a pain but if it's desperately needed and it's the only one you've found you either have to hope a cheaper option comes along or bite the bullet if you can and get it

Just thank yourself it ain't a lorry axle as mate had a 8 wheeler with a double drive rear end with some sort of gearing thing that exploded £7500 new but managed to find one 2nd hand £4000 couldn't have truck off road so had to cough the £4k

Just a thought but I know that truckman made tops for loads of pickups but are the glass panels possible the same despite the tops being made for different vehicles???

Yeah I kinda thought that so I took a punt on a for one around the same year.. It's an aerotop and all the glass looks the same.

I need a new handle and struts for mine anyway so here's hoping!

I rang truckman yesterday to get some replacement struts for the areo1 truckman top but found them cheaper from the people who manuafactuer them originally

google GSE gas stut engineering Bedford and the bloke sorted some out for me for less them £60 delivered. Can't wait for them to rock up as i'm sick of bungeeing up the glass panel every time i get in and out the back!

There's been a bit of interest in the springs, but Iv decided to hang onto them for now. The standard springs are back on but it looks like a dune buggy.. I need to see what the 30/35s are like and I have other Vw wheels I'm going to try.

Done the springs today, some seam sealer on the wings and continued on some wax oiling fitted a new tail pipe to..

Put new exhaust rubbers on to. I never took a pick of the tail pipe on but will do tomorrow.

New reg plate surrounds came
