The middle gauge wasn't working properly I think it's due to the different wheels!!

I guess you call 'middle gauge' what is universally named as speedometer.

in order to decide if it is not indicating properly because you don't have standard tyres, you have to use a GPS and tell me:

  • what tyres you got
  • what speed is GPS showing when the speedometer points at 30 mph
  • what speed is GPS showing when the speedometer points at 55 mph

based on that data I'll be able to tell you if the speedometer is in specs or it needs a (fairly easy) new calibration because its needle was installed wrong after a past removal.

in my opinion your dashboard should match the quality of engine & body restoration you put so much work in.

Just read the whole thread, your pickup is stunning! I love the stance with the 60mm drop, how unpractical are they? Also what size are your bbs rims?

Just logged back in for the first time in forever- WOW!! What an amazing job you've done. We've had to SORN ours until we have the money for repairs but this will make me push harder for it! I wonder how much someone would pay for a rebuild like this...!

Been bust with the golf lately getting it painted but still happy with the fun.

I must admit I'm liking it more than the golf just now:)

Have all the new wood cut to size now just need to finish staining it then repaint the bed.

Also treated it to some new hoops and shoes..

Took a gamble on these as there pretty phat and did raise a few issues and i wasnt sure on them, but now there on these are the ones il stick with!

Was still unsure on them and wasn't sure if it was worth the hassle but stick with the plan.

Time for the suttle touch, I had these made to order at the size required. Found the company online the can do any image you like.

Very happy how they turned out

A little trim neat trim at the back was done, I never liked the shape of the arch before anyway.

Took about 10mm off the top and gave it a nice sweep curve. You can never tell still looks stock.

Pretty chuffed how they turned out. Put some skoda valve caps on now to which I think ties it all in and finished it off.

Picked up a spare back plinth and had that colour coded to.

Looking at putting a better lump under the bonnet sometime as having a few overheating issues.

I see the polo gti engine on Teflon Toms thread 1.4 / 1.6?

I'm looking for something really easy and quick to fit. What's the best option guys?

Fitted these the other day for a bit cheese. I need to square it up still but I was surprised at how good the logo is.
