Hi

I have a skoda pickup 1.3 -00.

I would like to wire the instrument lights to light up when i start the engine.

I have looked at the light switches and don't really know how it is wired.

I already have DRL since i live in sweden. But how do i do to get it to light

Up on ignition? If anyone just had a wiring diagram on the lights then i

would probably fix it my self. But as it is now, i don't have any wiring diagram

to look on what wire going where. I have also noticed a problem that i can't

lock the high beam even how much i press the two light switches. I know

that the switches is crap on these cars but if i just get the diagram then i

can fix something that works.

Thanks in advance!

- disconnect battery negative cable

- remove instrument cluster

- modify wiring around yellow 10-pin connector as follows

- isolate exposed solder and cut wire

- reconnect battery negative cable

the modification should look like this

on second issue, what do you mean by "i can't lock the high beam even how much i press the two light switches" ??

the high beam is turned on by pushing forward the lever on the left of the steering wheel.

Thanks for the reply.

The 10 pin connector, is that the one that goes in to the instrument?

When i pull the lever, the high beam lights up and when i release it, it goes out.

But when i push it forward it won't light up at all. So if it is like any other car, it

usually works after you have turned the low beam on manually. But when i push

the switch with the low beam icon on, it doesn't happen anything.

evidently.

most probably the switch of the left lever is faulty, unless somebody messed up the wiring.

Or maybe you're not switching the low beam on so high beam won't work - the side light switch has to be on for the low-beam headlight switch to work and that has to be on for the push full beam to work.

Also headlight flash (pull) works with ignition off but dipped and main beam only work with ignition on. (Side lights work in either state.)
