Ive not used them mate, i have the JL c5s

http://caraudiosecurity.com/jl-c5-650-17cm-components

I do like JL stuff

It was just the fact the are components around same price u had allowed, and they use inline filters iirc

So u run the power to the speaker, then the tweater plugs in the speaker too

Head units look at alpines mate, whats ur budget

I went with the cde-136bt

Its a dab ( only downfall is i lost hi volt pre out which i noticed abit - but from oem u wont have that issue )

Ive just fitted a set of these to mine as a replacement to a set of Alpine Type E components. Really are night and day. Much clearer sounds and kick very well low end with no distortion. Ive always been a fan of JL Audio but admit to being a little apprehensive at buying this set at its current price. I was extremely happy to be proven wrong though. They are pretty easy to fit too.
