As above I've been to source sounds in Chapeltown Sheffield today ended up getting some new rear speakers for the vrs.

As anybody done the sound deadening and how far did you go with it. Also what's the best makes out there. They did a kit for £100 and that was for 27 sheets.

Spoke to a fairly local car audio specialist in macclesfield about this recently.

He reckons you cant beat 'dynamat'. Hes tried alsorts but says nothing works quite as well.

He does a bulk pack for £150 which would do all the doors, under the boot and under the back seats.

He told me id be surprised how much of the road noise comes up from under the back seats, so not to forget that bit in particular.

I havent gone ahead with it, but i do plan to at some point soon.

I found the best method was the deadening mats. There the ally foil backed 4 mm thick ones. Then a layer of of the 12pm acoustic closed cell foam. I initial did it with carpet indetlay then when I was happy with the results, redid the whole car in the closed cell foam to get the best results I could. The biggest improvement I found was doing the boot and the outside skins of the door panels. I'm not sure where you are in the UK but I'm in Derby so I could show you what I've do e and how I did it
