Is there a video on how to replace the vacuum pipe from the brake servo? The one I have is split and this is surely not helping the situation!!

From my long whinge does it sound to you like it could be the Cam sensor ? Would the crank sensor also be an issue.

Doesn't sound like a Cam sensor issue as u find its normally difficult to start and then runs normalish on idle but then creates a juddering motion under any heavy load!

No starting problem what so ever.

 

 One thing I haven't mentioned before. I rarely drive it - it's the wife's car. But a couple of months ago on two or three occasions when I pulled up at a junction,  traffic lights etc the revs would go up say 2,500 rather than usual at idle. If I used my right toe to lift the accelerator pedal "up" then the revs dropped. Maybe that was coicidense on my big toe and the car revs dropped of its own accord automatically!!!

thats likely due to the air leak from that hose ,

I'd put the revving down to a dodgy throttle body! Mine did that

i mean for revving. Main problem sounds like this expensive head cum valve guides cum a cxar with 28k miles should nt have this sort of problem!!!

Yes VW Audi Group diagnostics system that shows what's the throttle body is doing

Possibly! A scan will tell you everything about how the car is reacting

The garage is not VAG but the kit had the ability to read fault codes on the engine.

A fault code reader is not the same as VCDS , without using vag-com you won't be identify the fault properly
