Lowering advice

Recommended Posts

I've decided in going to lower my vrs, previous cars I've always gone down the spring and shocker route but there seems to be very little options out there for the vrs, so coil overs seem to be the main choice. I'm doing over 70miles a day so I need something that's going to be reasonably comfy. Does anyone have any recommended brands or links to suspension? Much appreciated

If you want comfort you'll have to spend the money.

My recommendation is KW coilovers

Or if 25mm is enough for you id look at a shock and spring kit. Eibach springs only go 15mm but weitecs / ap / apex go 25mm

Eibachs go 25mm as well.

Eibachs seem to offer a more subtle drop than other spring options

Remember the vrs sits lower as standard than a non vrs model and the spring manufacturers quote the non vrs drop.

So to get the vrs drop you subtract the difference

Been a while since i owned a fabia so cant remember if the vrs sits 10 or 15mm lower as standard than a non rs

I got the AP shocks and springs on mine from Damian. Top bloke!

They are awesome for the money, I didn't want a stupid drop and uncomfortable ride as its my daily driver. These are perfect, still comfortable and teamed up with the Whiteline RARB handling is brilliant!
