I have the internal bike rack and find it a bit fiddly to be honest...it was so tricky I had to go back to the dealer to sort it out....it can be difficult to screw in the locking pins.....I don't have spare tyre fitted

sniperkona - sorry but think you will find bike rack is not compatible with spare wheel option.

KBPhoto - I have one and would not be without it, however andyml's point about the locking pins is very valid, they are a bit of a pain, though marking them and a bit of practice makes it easier.  Also the supplied clamps for the seatpost etc are too small for any of my road bikes so I just use bungees.  Bottom line is if like me you are thinking of generally leaving it installed, happy to discard the supplied straps and use bungees, generally only carry one bike, then its a good piece of kit.  Oh and it helps if you can find a barely used one on fleabay for half price.

^ +1.  Not muddy bikes necessarily.  Madam will tolerate a surprisingly solid 'winter coat', as some here describe it, on the outside, but she has to be persuaded to accept even a pair of muddy boots into the car.
