I did post something before about coolant loss

I am loosing water from somewhere, no visible leaks, under car, pipe work, no damp patches under mats, no tell tale signs at rear of car.

I Tried some  K Seal, not worked as i've just topped up after 240 miles. have noticed 2 or 3 times now very brief power loss did think wrong gear at first, as i've a knack of stalling car.  50000 miles not quite 5yr old

Car can't loose water, water is prohibited in machinery!  :p

If you use coolant, red or green (green is better to be spotted) all leaks can be seen, if no obvious leaks that can mean cylinder head gasket. What about exhaust gases, there is no white steam?

and 50 000 mls is nothing for good maintained engine ;)

Water cap could have a problem, under pressure and heat the coolent could evaporate

Coolant can NOT evaporate! :x  That can do a water if that is a mixture, not Concentrate or "Ready mix". If it does, that is small amount and will not cause discussion about Coolant leakage  :D

  • Cooling system pressure test.
  • And test Coolant on Exhaust Gases to make a sure there is nothing to do with Cylinder Head gasket.

Correct, but we don't know what the concentration is as he mentioned that the refill was direct from tap, how many times?

Although strange the issue.

No visible leaks, new EGR, no steam from exhaust. What amount is he putting in, at what.frequency, after long run or daily driving
