SOLD! 2007 '57 mark II (pre FL) Octy VRS TDi Estate Manual - Race Blue - REDUCED - £6550

Recommended Posts

Car is now SOLD.

She needs a new home after just over 7 years ownership from new, making way for her replacement. Sadly not another VRS but a regular Mark III Elegance, with a few subtle modifications to come :)

Details:

1 owner from new (registered end of November 2007) - non smoker

6 speed manual

Race Blue

51,700 miles. She's in daily use so I estimate come end of Feb she'll have approx 52,500 miles, probably less. Barely run in!

50+ mpg - best I've had was 57.

Full Skoda main dealer history from new

Last serviced/MOT Nov 2014, no advisories

Superchips Bluefin remap module from approx 1,000 miles - absolutely no issues - near 200bhp

6 x CD changer in boot

MP3 Stream standard stereo

18" Zenith alloys

Sunset glass

Maxidot

Cruise control

Jumbo box with a/c

Dual zone climate control

Front & rear electric windows

Front & rear parking sensors

Auto dimming rear and side mirrors

Rain sensor

Light assist

Large 'Octavia' badge removed from rear - just 'VRS' badge remains - I think it looks better this way.

Tyres all 5mm - both rear are Michelin PS3, both front are Uniroyal Rainsport 2, spare has 7mm - OEM space saver (50mph limit) with all tools.

Heavy duty rubber boot mat from new

4 x heavy duty rubber floor mats

4 x original carpet mats (as new)

Cambelt & water pump changed in 2011

2 keys (1 never used)

Loads of receipts, old MOTs, tax discs, spare carpet clips, spare wheel bolt covers, race blue paint touch up kit.

From the pictures you'll see I have a child seat fitted. The corresponding rear headrest was removed as the seat wouldn't fit right with it still in place but I still have it.

All recall work carried out by dealer when required, including the injectors. No starting issues since.

Issues:

All 4 wheels kerbed though some worse than others - eg. one of the fronts has one tiny nick, as can be seen from the pictures. I'm afraid 5 years parking in London has taken its toll.

<5mm shopping trolley dent on rear quarter - thanks to whomever did this!

Minor scratches to corner of front bumper - thanks for this one too!

Scratches/minor damage to rear bumper - am in the process of touching up so it won't be perfect but it's not that bad. Rear bumper is fixed and solid - i.e. does not wobble about.

On further examination it seems two of the rear parking sensors are not responding :( One I'm 100% certain is due to the weather (in summer it works fine so probably needs removing, drying out, refitting and sealing somehow to stop the water ingress?) but the other well, I don't know - possibly linked to rear bumper scratches/damage but in any case I'm all ears in regards resale value. I could get them both fixed but I'm not sure its worth my while in terms of the sale. I do know that a new sensor, painted, is around £75 and they can be fitted - by a more competent person than I - WITHOUT removing the bumper.

I've taken pictures of all the issues as best I can except the front bumper scratches - I can't get a decent macro shot - it's hardly noticeable. Please do come see the car and judge for yourself or if there are any picture requests please shout and if there's enough upload space I'll add them - or happy to send via PM or email.

In light of the issues I'm lowering the price to £6550 but happy to listen to any sensible offer.

Available for viewings any evening or all day Friday - Sunday.

Cheers.

Well, I for one am certainly very interested as it ticks all the boxes for me. I live in Banbury but my brother in law used to live there and Royston, so I've got a rough idea of the area. It's a journey I'd happily make for the right car.

  • 2 weeks later...

Ok, car will now be for sale officially this weekend. My private plate is on retention so will be swapping back to its originally supplied '57 plate.

Will get some pics up and amend the initial post with more details. Just hope the weather remains good enough to get clean & dry.

Sorry guys - not sure what happened there but the price was there as was a bunch more detail but it's gone! Very irritating!

Price added again but more details to follow including pics, hopefully tomorrow.

They can be retrofitted.

GLWS

My car HAS front and rear sensors - it's just two of them aren't currently working but are easily and fairly cheaply fixed.

I've checked all 8 sensors for the audible click test - ignition in the first position, select reverse, ear to each sensor to hear a rapid clicking noise - but two don't respond.

Thanks - no takers yet though :(

Quick update. Car is booked in with WeBuyAnyCar this coming Saturday so in all likelihood I will sell unless someone makes me an offer close to asking before then. If their valuation sucks come Saturday then I'll update the thread accordingly.
