exhaust/axle removal?

Hey guys. Im after advice on how to get the exhaust off. I know it goes over the axle beam so do I have to remove all of it?????? Can anyone point me in the direction of a guide or something, is it a fairly easy job or not. Thanks in advance :):):)

you should beable to take it off without cutting it, i did, just undo all the joints at the back box, mid section and the down pipe, remove it from the rubber mounts then take it off a section at a time, you will have to fiddle a bit to get it over the beam, hope this helps mate

The original exhaust is one piece from centre box to tailpipe though. :) Having joints suggests sections have been replaced at some point. :)

didnt no that lol, going to remove my std one soon will try n do a diy thred for it...."evry day is a school day" @ briskoda.net lol

Fair play for getting it sorted. Changing exhausts is the only job I'll always pay someone else to do. It's so much easier with the car on a lift. 

thats true a lift makes exhaust work much easier, but exhaust work is really only few rusty bolts to undo not complicated at all just awkward. i get a satisfaction knowing i did the work and saved a few quid, i could've waited my mate said i could use is garage ramps and he would help, but i wanted to hear the noise!!
