Taillights with LED

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

about a month ago I tried to change my taillight bulbs to LEDs, but I found that 2 out of 4, are not regular bayonett bulbs. I post a picture here, where you can see, that the 2. from top (blinker) and the 4. (21W/4W brake) are different, the bayonett sticks (or i don't know what are they called in english) are not paralell in 180°, but 135° (just a guess about the angle).

Do anybody know where can I buy LED bulbs to fit these?

Thanks!

Yes, those are the indicator, and these amber leds are perfect.

Any ideas for the 21/4W brake?

possibly but I have no experience of them

Again you need to search for PY21/4(or 5)W LED. I'm having trouble finding any.

Maybe this seller? http://www.auto-lighting.co.uk/product-eng-4454-Led-Bulb-16W-HP-P21W-PY21W-P21-5W-P21-4W-with-lens-4-1-5W-2-5W-Cree-WHITE.html

Quick report here:

The ned LED Bulb arrived. Quality looks ok.

It's hard to capture light with a phone camera. Left is the LED Bulb and right is a standard P21/4W Bulb. You can definitely tell that it's brighter. The foglight works as well.

I always criticized the weak bulbs in the back. To me it looks like you're driving an old broken car from the 80's at night...
