hi all car is still at the roll cage guy been busy preparing loom will add some photos next week . we are racing at knock hill  mccrea rally this weekend in c1 so been bust prep car for that

been awhile the guy doing the cage broke his arm going up on wed to get seat position and steering wheel position sorted will have some photos  started stripping the wiring loom 5.1kg out of it already .

was up with the guy who is fitting the cage tonight  get my seat position and position for the steering column he will have the cage finished by end of next week progress at last.

main hoop front hoop in all the holes filled looking good

still has door bars dash bar rear cross bars and front window  gussets and front tie bar and link to front strut tops all the bars are cut and ready to fit

starting to strip boot lid and doors removing wing mirrors  excess wiring and weight  and prepare for painting and going to make carbon door cards  for doors and mount  elec window switch on new switch panel between seats .IMG_3902.jpgIMG_3901.jpgIMG_3903.jpg

is that a couple of old mini's in the background?

yes we have three  old minis green one is  a 998cc the brown one is a 1480cc straight cut gearbox screamer and the blue one has a 1090cc shark ossicle engine

nice, do they suffer the original problem of breaking down in the wet, due to the distributor being mounted right at the front and getting soaked easily :)

 

not that a mate of mine in the 80's had one but could rarely get anywhere unless it was sunny :)

Hi roll cage finished excellent job by wishart engineering  t45 full international spec cage with axel stand points strengthened suspension points steering column support seat rails . Next job prep for paint and removing underseal from the arches and the floor heat gun and scrapper not looking forward to this .
