Caffyns - Ashford..

Had the 30,000 service at Caffyns (Ashford) which was fine and reasonably priced.

Since then have had Octy RS seats replaced under warranty which was dealt with very efficiently - they even picked the car up from Canterbury and returned it after it was completed. Friendly bunch and can recommend them as competent and up to date (i.e. they know about the coil pack memo from Skoda uk and will happily replace all relevant coil packs). Ask for Alex on Servicing.

I second KentStu's review - by far the best dealer I have used in SE Kent (out of the four (!) where I have had work done). I have had two services + minor warranty work done here

Took my Fabia vRS in this morning for it's 30k service. The service advisor couldn't have been more helpful. The service was done in just under an hour. I had a breakdown of what work they had done and an explanation of the paperwork that I received.

Although not my local dealer, it was a refreshing change to go to a very friendly and professional dealer.

Just had my first service on my Vrs and sadly was left with grease marks on the rear of front seats, floor mats and dirt marks all over dash and controls.

I responded to their 'tell us how we have done' via email and Skoda got back to me within a couple of days.

The service manager has agreed to clean it for me, but having paid near £140.00 I would expect a lot better and will be getting the srvice done elsewhere next time

Brought my vRS furby from them 2nd hand, friendly sales team.

Took it back a year later for a service/MOT, they were friendly, helpful & kept my car clean and tidy & unlike the last time I used a ford main dealer they actually serviced it.

The service desk man was on the ball, remembered my name, remembered the stearing problem.

Not my local dealer, but worth the travel from Rochester to Ashford.

When the Galaxy is ready to go, heck faceless Fords have lost the game, shame to Roomsters too small, but Caffyns you're in the running for the Octy vRS estate sale.

well want to know how good caffyns really are?

My mate pat, borrowed her mums new car (owned by her mum for a week but on a 54 plate).

The car had been fully serviced by caffyns when pats mum bought the car.

As we drove down a hill in dover, a mercades pulled out into the wrong lane about 60mph in a 30 zone, as Pat saw this happening she slammed on the brakes which failed.

merc 60mph + astras 20 mph downhill climb = 80mph crash.

The merc was a complete right off, it didnt look bad until you saw the chassis, suspention etc. Pats mum's car, a Vauxhaul Astra survived the crash only loosing its bumper, no brakes and a dent in the radiator, was drivable.

best bit is the driver of the merc was saying pat wasn't indicating to turn down the side road, but when the tow truck pulled up, the astra's indicator was on when they started it up!

leading from the scene of the crash up the hill a bit, was all the brake fluid from the astra where it had leaked out. Good servicing caffyns! (NOT)

Just ordered 1.8 tsi Octavia Scout from Caffyns Ashford. Excellent service from Aaron who got me cars to test drive and even offered to drive me to their other dealer ( 1 hour away) to view a Scout in the showroom. Aaron appraised my car when asked ( another dealer was not interested in looking at my car unless I was ready to order). Very good part ex and they have guaranted the price until new car arrives (10-12 weeks factory order) full tank of fuel also included with new car. rating so far 5/5 will keep you posted.

Yet again the parts/service department went beyond the call of duty last week when I had a minor issue that they sorted out for me at the drop of a hat

Hmmmm dont rate the sales team one bit !!!!

i would never buy a car from this garage again theses are my reasons .

1 / On test drive he was drunk and badly smelt of the old pop .

2 / very rude and spoke down too myselfand wife a couple of times

3 / The manager treated me like i just slapped his mum

4 / No passage of information myself and the wife was always phoning asking what was going on

5 / Being lied to getting told the car was ready to go then getting told it wasnt due to not having locking nut bolts however it did i checked myself and when challanged about it he backed down saying it was something else just be HONEST things happen .

Before some one says it why didnt i walk away it was the right car what i wanted and was looking for it fitted the bill 100% and been looking for ages if i was 100% happy i would of trust me .

i havent tryed the service department and on monday i need to book BIG BLUE in for some warrenty work so hopefully the service department will be better

ill let you know lol

+ 1

Was going all so well with them until i meet the manager, what a uptight a***hole. When we was going over the finance deals and what not, i said is there anything else you can throw in to make me sign today, he said no... nothing take it or leave it. So i left it and went to DM Keith Leeds and got a cracking deal.

The sales rep that i normally deal with was great, really helpful answered all my questions and over all was nice chap.

Shame about the sales team, looking to change two cars over the next 12 months or so. If the manager happens to move on I might enquire. Had my car serviced there the other week, no problems at all, the service desk staff very decent and polite. Even dropped me up the road, to work, which I appreciated.

I have found both the sales team and servicing to be nothing short of excellent.

Bought a Fabia Estate from Caffyns 3 1/2 years ago. Purchase was good, all services since have been excellent. As others have said on this thread the guys on the servicing desk are very helpful and friendly.

Popped in Sat and have traded in my Fabia and ordered a new Superb. Dealt with the same salesman, Simon, who was again good.

Just got to wait now for it to be built :|

Best part about Caffyns is the servicing team who are first class.

:hi: We have just bought our Roomster at Caffyns Ashford we collected it on last Friday, I can honestly say the salesman Simon was great . When we originally enquired about buying a new car (our first ever new car) deciding betewn a Fabuia estate and a Roomster he took us out on a test drive on both and explained all the features of both and answere all our questions and was very informative. We chose to have the Roomster SE TSI 86ps in the metalic blue, we were unlucky as they did not have one in stock but he checked on the PC and found one waiting unbooked in Germany awaiting shipping to the UK , he booked it for us and told us it should be ready for collection in about 14 days. 8 days later he rang us to say the car had landed in Sheerness and would be delivered to them on the following Monday he rang us to let us know they had recieved the car could we forward the insurance documents so they could register the car and it would be ready for collection on 10am Friday if that was convenient for us. When we arrived on he gave us a cup of coffee went through the paperwork took us to the service recieption and introduced to the service manager and receptionist and after some talk and banter with them and us took us to the Roomster. There he took us throught all the vehicle controls and asked us if we had any questions. The whole procedure took about an hour.At the end he said if we had any problems just pick up the phone and call him. Did we have good service from them YES was it hassle free YES, were we kept informed from order to delivery YES, was he informative YES, was he proffesional YES, and most of all did he have a sense of humour YES :sun: . Well done Caffyns Ashford, great service Simon and nice to have met you, AND most of all how is the Roomster, FABULOUS  . PS we are an older couple( well I am an old and wrinkley not the wife ) and we know a bit about service. :giggle:

Well rep Simon is a nice guy and had gone out of his way to arrange test drives etc for me. He said there was some flexibility in price when I came back with an offer I had found, he said he had to speak to the boss - boss came back and said absolutely no flexibility at all. So I took my money elsewhere and got a fab deal lol. Would recommend them to speak to and for customer service but not for prices or miserable boss!

They've certainly become more competitive in relation to servicing/repairs etc, to the extent that we've been getting more work done there recently on our Mk1 Fab. Off side door lock fixed today for around £50 all in.

Tend to diy most things on the Felly but useful to have full Skoda serv history on the Fab

Aaron in sales, super helpful! sorted me out a test drive in a diesel VRS mk3 (tough to find a demo on) and a used Yeti.

Opted for a new fl Yeti but they said couldn't budge at all on list RRP :-( so went elsewhere to buy.

Brought the wife's new Ferbi vRS from them yesterday. Excellent sales process, car presented all clean and tidy, retro fir parking aid and hands free kit all done as requested.

Had a call from SWMBO this morning, the rear wiper has packed up!! Called the garage straight away to sort it out........ Told there was a "faulty batch of vehicles in circulation, this may be one!! Service will call you back ASAP." That was at 8:45. Just called them back, seems like I'm getting the run around...... Still waiting for service dept to call..
