i personally would never use this garage again i had heaps of trouble from them, to the point where i almost considered buying a vauxhall astra!

I bought a Fabia off of them last year after having so much grief i ended up trading it in for an Octavia, at a different garage after 3 or 4 months.

Aftersales care is a major issue with this garage, i had the car independantly inspected, collected the car and found a dent in the C pillar, scratching to the L hand front window glass, all of which they blamed on me and said i must have done it, i rung up my inspection company and they said if it was not on the inspection sheet it was not on the car. Clock garage just refused to do anything and the customer service manager got very aggresive and started effing and blinding i had to walk away. They had not done any remedial work to the car of issues noted in the inspection, apart from a service and change the front pads and discs the cosmetic issues to be resolved as part of the sale were :-

Rear tailgate was rusting - This was never resolved first it was going to be a new tailgate, but they needed approval from Skoda UK before going ahead, then they were going to send it to a bodyshop but this never happened, just unending promises to fit it in by the end of the week.

Swapping the wheel trims- The front wheel trims were scuffed to hell so they agreed to swap them, when they realised they didnt have a classic Fabia on the lot to swap them over they denied having ever having agreed to swap.

The Valet was carried out by a five year old without a clue as to how to clean a car it was filthy.

Extra issues i had with the car were-

The wipers were knackered yet still passed the MOT?

I took the car into Clock to have the front wheel bearings replaced. They never removed the zip ties from the wheel trims so how could they remove the wheels? I assume they never changed the wheel bearings and just greased them or something.

When i collected my car the next day they had left the passanger window open over night and it had been raining so was damp inside, there were oily hand marks over the bonnet and steering wheel and the car had been left unlocked overnight, their response was "oh sorry".

When i collected the car for the first time it ran out of petrol before it got to the service station, i was finally able to get a tenners worth of petrol out of them just before i sold the car.

It just goes on and on poor customer service, poor communication, overinflated parts prices.

To sum up now you have bought your car take it to any other garage round here apart from Clock, i can personally recommend Halls of Ruddington, Bickertons of Sheffield and Gordon Lamb of Chesterfield.

I've always had a pretty good service from them. I didnt get the car from them, as its supplied by a lease company, but its always serviced by Clock. I can usually get it booked in within 3 or 4 days, they always check round it for dents & scratches before you leave it & always provide a decent service. They also report back to me when i collect it if anything else is wrong (chip in windscreen, missing wheel nut covers etc). They also always fill my washers up & leave me the rest of the washer fluid bottle in the boot for me... saves me buying it i s'pose..? Good service really - better than Vauxhall or Ford in my opinion.

bought my car [Fabia vRS] for about £800 less than my local dealer [Gordon Lamb's who are *****].

This is a bonus, but the buying, delivery process etc could not have been smoother.

But unfortunately my car has had teething problems and has been in and out of my local dealer [Gordon Lambs] for quite sometime now, and each time have been unable to get to the bottom of my mystery knocks and rattles. The cost to me has been 2 front tyres prematurely wearing and being replaced at circa 4000 miles. The response I got from Skoda [but via Lambs] was 'it's a sports car - unlucky'. So I was £200+ worse off and still had rattles and knocks despite having 3 shocks, anti roll bar bushes and drop links; oh and a new back box.

So I contacted Skoda to ask how I go about rejecting the car. They told me to take the car the dealer that I bought it from - which was Clock, but unfortunately for me 40 miles away.

But I booked the car in, and they arranged for the foreman to go out with me in the car, to listen for the knocks, bumps and rattles. So already I was being taken far more seriously. So Clock had my car from Thursday to Monday just gone - and found that Lambs had not fitted any of the parts correctly and found an alien bolt within the suspension system that had been dropped there !!!!!!

So I called Skoda and went nuts - and once again I was taken seriously and I discovered they had put calls in and referred my case to upper management within skoda customer services. This case is on going.......

So I collected my car yesterday, and was handed x2 A4 sheets of paper detailing everything that had been done to the car, and an explanation as to what and why they had done what they had done. They then asked that I take the car and see how it is.........

So within 20 miles I discover all is not perfect and in fact my gremlin noises have returned, however, I was very happy with the level of service, and thus very calm when giving the service advisor the bad news.

He immediately asked that I return the car at a convenient time and date for me, where the foreman and the after sales director will be waiting to discuss the problems, go for a ride in the car and take it from there..............

So would I recommend clock ? - oh yes. They are one of the best dealers I have experienced in a long time - 2nd to Porsche Nottingham !

Bought my new Fabia estate from Clock Garage a month ago. Premises clean, salesman (Vick Sandhu) helpful, sensible part-exchange price for our 2 old cars. Car was delivered in good condition with all extras specified fitted properly. Very pleased with Fabia, no rattles, drives well.

As Alex says earlier-Aftersales care from this dealer leaves alot to be desired, had my Fabia VRS from them new and when the washer jets moved and would only spray onto the (parked) wiper blades, they told me it was a 'characteristic' of the car!!!!

So I bought my Octavia VRS TDi from another dealer, who was, unfortunately, too far away when problems started,so I had to use Clock again-and no,things hadn't really changed,as they didn't follow the paper trail properly, and my opinion is that they added to my problems!!!!!

Shan't bother again

If I was asked to summerise Clock Garage Derby in one word I would say - POOR.

Unhelpful sales staff and an arrogant approach to after service seems to be there mantra at Clock.

I'm beginning to regret buying a new car from them, wish I'd waited until Autotraders had got the vRS I was after..

My advise, steer clear.

Surprised at so many negatives for this dealer - I've been using them for over 10 years and they've always looked after me very well.

Have bought 3 cars from them, and had all my servicing done there.

Sorry to hear of others bad experiences - I'll be sure to discuss what I've read here with them on my next visit.

I bought my first Skoda from here 3 years ago (1.4i estate). It's reliable, comfortable and averages 44 mpg. The service from Clock Garage has been excellent - all work requested done on time and car valeted. The one occasion I needed work in a hurry (caught the bl**dy net in the hatch lock!) it was done promptly. I have always been annoyed when garages charge £x to top up the screen wash - at Clock they charge for a bottle of washer fluid but leave the remainder in the boot for my future use.

I'm happy with their attitude and service, and will soon buy my second Fabia Estate from them.

I bought my Octavia VRS from them in 2005.

From the off the car had the occasional starting problem. We informed Clock Garage about this when the car was under warranty. Whilst under warranty the car went back to the garage for a Lamda sensor change. The mechanic said he expected that the problem might go away afterwards... it never did... although its never been more than a minor irritation, we did, however, ask them to make a note of the problem to put with the cars records for future reference. i.e. it's always been there, and should be fixed under warranty. Just recently this problem has got worse, and now the immobiliser light is coming on... so it's obviously been this culprits fault from day one.

Phoned up customer service and have just had (another) arguement with them. They are trying to worm out of honouring the claim and the woman on reception (Jill) is arrogant, calls you a liar and is basically totally unpleasant.

When we bought the car it was an ex demonstrator. It was only after we'd bought it that we noticed a mark on the paint on the tailgate door. We took it in to have it fixed under warranty and where told to take it to the VAG bodyshop on Pride Park.

1) The tailgate VRS stickers had been put back on the wrong side after the numpty respraying it took a 'before' picture, then manage to reverse the image in his phone. The nob obviously cant read.

2) We had to wait another week to have this sorted out.

3) the bodyshop then told us that the car had been in an accident and resprayed!!!! Something Clock Garage NEVER informed us about when we purchased it.

They weren't even going to do the respray under warranty, and we had to go down there to get photos of the faulty paint taken! I live 15 miles away. Thats a 30 mile round trip that I wasnt reimbursed for in petrol.

Since buying the car I have spent £0000's in servicing with them but I will NEVER EVER spend another penny with this outfit.

Blidworth Skoda is probably just as close to me, so I'll be going there from now on.

CLOCK GARAGE, highly unrecommended.

I bought a new Fabia 3 1.4i estate in March, to replace my 2006 Fabia estate. Delivered in perfect condition, all extras specified fitted. Only problem I've had is one of the bolts securing the driver's door bottom hinge came loose, causing a puzzling rattle. Five minute job to fix once I'd found the cause. I'm happy with this garage.

I've never had any problems from this dealer, brought my Fabia VRS from them, Valet was fantastic salesman (Craig Stansbury) was a very well dressed and polite gent, called me to inform me when it would be ready for collection . Aftersales have been brilliant to me, I took my car back as i noticed a scratch on the rear bumper, they agreed to take it in and have it re-sprayed aswell.

More tales of woe from Clock Spondon I'm afraid...

Recently, my father in law decided to treat himself to his first new car and after my L&K a few years ago he decided to go for one of these.

A few weeks ago, we (father in law, mother in law, my wife, 2 kids and I) all popped up to clock as Kev (father in law) wanted to show the good lady the car so she could see if she liked it, but the salesman left us all feeling thoroughly disappointed.

After coming over and asking if we needed any help, a simple request for him to 'open the car so we could have a look in it' was point blank refused.

Further negotiations as to a P/X enquiry were met with the response of, "well, we can discuss that at a later stage if you decide to buy one"

Upon which, Kev said that he was planning to buy one, but was waiting for some money to come through.

This time the salesman advised that we should come back when we're serious about buying.

Stupid arrogant *****!! :punch:

Can safely say I will never step foot in that place again!!

I have had 3 cars from clock a mark 1 fabia vrs, a suzuki swift sport (as the are a suzuki dealer aswell), and 2 weeks ago i got a new fabia vrs off them. all have been brand new cars and the sales everytime has been good in genral, car service has been very good always cleaned the car after service and everything done properly, but this last vrs i had off them well it did seem to drag on and on but i think it was more the dvlas fault more than anything as i was waiting for my privite plates to be transfered. been back to take my log book back to them for my old swift and noticed that it was up for 2 grand more than i got in px which pi??ed me off alittle but then again in then last week i owned it i drove everywhere on the redline and i just couldnt wait to get rid of it and back into a vrs!!!

all in all i dont have a bad word to say but if ya lookin at a suzuki swift sport in silver with leather at clock garage dont buy it, it was driven very hard for its hole life

Just had second variable service + brake fluid change done on my ltd ed VRS at Clock. It was my first experience with them as I only bought the car in Feb.

Overall I would rate the experience as fair. My initial quote of £313 was a bit of a joke as Rainworth in Nottingham quoted £245 including pollen filter change. Clock agreed to price match and I booked it in a few days later. I asked if i could drop off early and pick up at lunch time, they said no problem. When I dropped the car off they said that a minor recall (service bulletin) needed doing as well, but it would be ready for lunch time. I rang at 12:45pm, when it was meant to be ready for 12:30pm, and after a long wait on hold was told it would be ready mid-afternoon. It wasn't ready until 5pm. At no point did I receive a phone call.

They also did a crap job of adjusting the windscreen washer jets. They were tilted so far back that the spray hit the rear window!

Front tyres were also low, 3-4mm tread, Clock didn't mention them.

Well, after my previous post above, I am regaining confidence with this dealer.

Despite a very poor experience with the sales team, I will admit to actually having used this garage now for 2 faults with my 2009 vrs, and I have been very satisfied with their service.

The first was a fault with the doors/anti hijack feature unlocking and locking itself at random, which Clock diagnosed to be a faulty ignition unit sending out lock/unlock signals - all replaced under warrenty.

And today, an EML light was quickly diagnosed, the part ordered, and car ready to collect.

Still wouldn't buy from here, but their aftersales/service team seem brill.

I purchased my Octavia VRS from this Garage, The Sales Man was polite and accomadating, just what you should expect. One thing that got me a little irate was my rear parking sensors. They did not work. The Cars sold go through a million point test before being handed over to the customer. So did the Salesman not reverse my car off the lot, did a Mechanic not reverse it at any point. Call me a Sceptic but being as I had to put my self out once for a diagnostic and second for a repair. this work was carried out under Guarantee, so would this not be charged back to Skoda UK. Apart from a little rant I am very happy with the Car.

Went in to the dealership this week to sort out registration of the new vRS and suprised to see they have 2 Porches, an Aston Martin and a Range Rover which people have part ex'd. I know the economy is not doing too well at present and it is interesting to see what these premium car owners have decided to change to.

Have not had any real issue with them, salesman was very friendly and didn't mess about, gave a good part ex and a good price on the vRS. Parts team were excellent in sorting out some winter wheels and steels at a good price. Yet to see how the service team will be but so far so good.
