I bought my Octy2 from Kings Heath, good price, excellent pdi and handover.

When booking it in for it's first service last week I looked up the wrong number and called Halesowen by mistake. Since they were closer I booked it in anyway, after being given a good price and a promise that it would be ready inside two hours from leaving it at an agreed time. When I turned up the woman I dealt with had no idea what service I'd come in for (or needed), was more interested in chatting across the room to other employees, dismissed the price I'd been given but couldn't quote me a firm price (for a standard service!), and finally told me I'd be lucky to get the car back before mid-afternoon "as we have a lot of cars in today". At that point I realised there were more Peugouts than Skodas in the workshop, told her that my confidence in their ability to provide good customer service was completely eroded - and walked out.

Drove straight over to Kings Heath, spoke directly to the service manager, booked it in for two days later. Arrived, was greeted by name, car was ready on time, price as quoted, and (small token but significant) remaining contents of antifreeze bottle and spray oil left in plastic bag in footwell for my use.

Well pleased with the car; yes I will be dealing with Kings Heath again (despite the appalling lack of parking spaces); but I'll steer well clear of Halesowen.

Copy of this posted on both the Halesowen and Kings Heath threads.

Had my '56 Fabia VRS first service here last week.

- Hard to get through to service dept at lunchtime - kept getting put to an answer machine.

+ Price was quoted upon booking and was accurate.

- I did not get my service book back until I rang them when I got the car back, they are dropping it round today they say, and I did not hear the magic 'S' word when I called them.

+ BLT engine stutter 90% sorted, guess they put the 14.5mm EGR valve gasket in?

- Car was left parked for me to collect on a local pub car park, not impressed!

- Car was not washed, although it was absolutely filthy!

+ staff polite and friendly, although the guy on the desk did get my name wrong once.

+ I got the remainder of the fine oil aerosol which was left in the car for me.

+ I was not charged for any items that were not needed - the washer bottle was full when I arrived but they did not try the 'ooh you needed this' line, which is refreshing for an old cynic like me.

+ Car was ready earlier than I needed it and I got a polite call to say so.

So a few minor niggles but generally very good job, cheers guys.

As my supplying dealer for 2 cars I've not been overwhelmed by them, until today Not directly I'll admit, but through my dad.

Initially wasn't looking too good when I originally phoned them last week to get a price to regas the aircon, after 3 attempts and a phone message I still couldn't get through to the service department. Then the person I booked instead let me down twice so my dad went back to All Electric. Quote to do the regas was a bit expensive but we both decided we might as well use them since they would do the work and not let us down.

Dad took the car in yesterday to get the regas, then we had a phone call....... When my dad had his car serviced by the garage last year they advised the fuse box on the battery was heavily corroded and would soon need replacing, turns out it was now corroded and the engine fans weren't coming on. A quote was made and agreed and they kept the car overnight to do the work today. My dad went to pick his car up and they also told him there was a problem with the alternator not starting up until the car had been reved over 3000 rpm (we knew this, just had forgotten about it) which had turned out to be a broken wire.

All the work was completed on time, and also below the original quote which considering the extra work involved is excellent.

So All Electric Garages get a  from me. :)

After the recent problems I've experienced I'm officially giving All Electric in Kings Heath two thumbs DOWN! I bought the car from them and was very pleased with the customer service from the sales side of things, so decided to continue to give them my after-sales business. They finally got my rear door seal problems sorted under warranty (I think) after a couple of attempts, but after collecting the car following the 2nd attempt I found my rear rubber mats turned dirt side DOWN on the back of my vRS seats (nice)! Previously they had used a seat cover to work on the car, but not this second time.

Following this I went to place something in the back of the car (because I hardly ever use the back seats) and I noticed they had damaged the trim on the rear door (a large gash was cut right through the trim below the rear window, which was blatantly obvious to see and apparently happened due to a clip cutting through from below, so I believe it is likely the technician knew he had done it when it happened). After I noticed this I returned with the car to have the damage assessed, and to cut a long story short I had to argue my case at length to get them to replace it free of charge. No apologies offered, and they acted like they were actually doing me a big favour by finally (reluctantly) agreeing to do the work for free. It's not like I had to take time out of MY day to deliver the car to them on TWO occasions so they could repair the damage THEY had done! I've taken the car in to have warranty work (door seals) and a service on 4 separate occasions, and the staff in there couldn't be more unfriendly. What happened to "customer satisfaction" and "service with a smile"? Not at All Electric.

So today I have had the trim replaced and made sure I gave it a thorough once over before leaving, and I happened to notice a relatively significant scratch in the newly replaced trim. I SHOULD have complained, but after seeing this and knowing what I had to go through to get this done I could only shake my head and drive away. I had had enough of All Electric in Kings Heath and will never return.

From my experience, which has finished today, they have been generally quite good and friendly.

I bought my car with a central locking fault and they took it in and diagnosed it as the central locking computer fault, so they ordered a brand new one from Skoda U.K, however since it was on back order it took a few days to come in, but it arrived with them ahead of schedule and James, the service desk man, called me up straight away and booked me in for 8 this morning to have the work done.

Price was agreed on and not a penny more charged, and they gave the car a full health check and look over last time it was in for diagnosis and double checked the stuff that I fixed and said it was all fine what I've done =)

They were quicker than expected to get the job done too so I was home in no time, and James greated me professionally and with curtesy, what you expect from a main dealer =)

Halsowen garage of the same group however don't seem to have all the gear to diagnose faults, they can only deal with mechanical things, so I think from my experience this dealer gets a thumbs up from me :)

Picked up a used Occy vRS from here. They were friendly, courteous, professional and flexible. Not a bad price either.

The car had a few niggles the next day- a key didn't work and the steering was a little off centre. They got me in and sorted it within an hour, and even came round the block with me to make sure I was happy.

(They even didn't make me feel *too* bad about thinking one of the speakers had blown- the stereo had the bass up so high the back door was buzzing. Next time I'll read the manual... Oops!)

Anyway, top marks from me.

A big thumbs-up for Paul Jackson at Allelectric Kings Heath

I bought a new Fabia vRS estate from him - fantastic finance deal - everything done over internet - I didn't visit the garage once! Regular friendly email updates. The buying process was very smooth, other than the wait for delivery which was hardly his fault!

Happy to recommend

Bought my vRS new in July 2010 from Kal.

No messing around, got good trade-in and fair deal on vRS.

Brilliant PDI and handover - allowed me to get a specialist detailer in to check the paintwork and panel gaps on delivery, and then fully detail it on pickup day.

Have had 2 services there, got a good deal on both (the latter included the DSG gearbox service a few thousand miles early, as I couldn't be bothered to book it back in 4k miles later).

On the first service, on collection I noticed the back bumper had a rather large scratch in it which wasn't there when I dropped it off (I'm pretty meticulous with my cars) - mentioned it to the boss (Chris) - he got it booked in for a respray for free and gave me a Fabia Monte Carlo for the day for nothing whilst it was done.

Top, top service and can't speak highly enough of them.

Assuming my next car is a Skoda, they'll be getting my business again.

Thumbs down from me I'm afraid, ordering my car through a leasing company but it's All Electric in Kings Heath it's coming from.

Ordered 1st November last year a Citigo Elegance 75 in red with no options. Told estimated delivery date would be 7th January.

Checked all was on schedule mid December and was told to expect end of December to the middle of January.

Checked first week of January when the actual delivery date would be, now told it's still in build.

Told February 12th the car was due to arrive shortly and signed off all the paperwork. Asked whether I'd like to wait for a 13 plate or opt for a 62 and get the car asap.

Checked 19th February, car still at Port of Tyne waiting on a transporter.

Checked again today and waiting on a reply, told them not to bother putting a dealership sticker in the window as there's no way I'll be driving round advertising them.

I've just bought my second through them & my dad also got his current from there too.

They've always been great, even with me continually going back in, asking loads of questions over several trips & road tests, and then changing my order twice after initially making it.

They get a thumbs up from me anyway.

And I've now just collected my second car, the Skoda Yeti from All Electric Kings Heath and personally had exemplary service once again, even got a little free-be thrown in for good measure too.

Can't compliment Mark Daniels (Sales) and Andy Wilkes (After Sales) enough.

Definitely more  from me anyway.

Just bought my car from them last week. They gave me a good trade in price for my old car, and have been really helpful to get the new (to me) car asap which they did. So far, they have been the best dealership that I've bought a car from and I would recommend them!

First service for this Superb, and my first with All Electric. Phone quickly answered, polite and efficient booking, ready for me on arrival. They quickly realised I was 'on condition' not fixed interval and explained difference from price quoted when I booked. 2 hour turn-round, whilst I went off for a Full English in the cafe/sandwich shop round the corner (I can recommend it for quality and value).

Seat and floor covers used, spray can left for me, a comprehensive 'what we found' list and a thorough verbal as well - all good and only £148 inclusive (my last car, a Merc R Class cost £1100 for a 2 year service plan!). Only snag is Service History booklet not filled in, so will drop by when next their way.

Over all, pleased and will use again although it's 25 miles each way and our local Skoda Dealer is 2 miles each way.

PS. The new Octy as seen in their showroom is a Tardis - as much room inside as a 5 Series or an E Class. And zero road tax on the 1.6 TDI version.

Second variable recently - everything as easy and efficient as last time.  In conversation, offered a complimentary update my Columbus system if I could drop the car in sometime, which they duly did earlier this week.  They also found and fixed the annoying rattle from the dashboard that I had thought to be from the passenger door.

Might be a 50 mile round trip, but I'll keep going back.

All Electric were my supplying dealer and the Sales side of things are fine, not withstanding the original salesman lied to me about the damage to the car (see separate post), those that followed were great and resolved the issue.

However I booked my car in for it's first service on Saturday 11 April 2015 and told them I would wait with the car, I was advised to arrive at 0830 which I did, being the first person in the showroom. The service person was pleasant was expecting me and said the service would start straight away and would take 40 mins.

I went to a local cafe returning at 08:55 and the car hadn't moved. Eventually the service was finished by 10:10 they hadn't washed the car but offered a voucher for a local "hand car wash", which I declined. I then tried to buy an emergency kit they had on special offer but unfortunately no one knew how to sell me one, so walked away empty handed.

Unfortunately that will be my last visit to All Electric and I will give Central Skoda a try.

Absolutely rubbish. Took my car for a full service. I told them I had a few problems with the trays under the seat. They just shifted the blame to me cus I'm a driving instructor. They didn't sort it out and said because you adjust the seats the trays fall out of place.

The seats are made to be adjusted. If they can't design a under seat carriage that holds trays properly then that's not the customers fault.

They left the car dirty and still charged me an extortionate price when I fully know that all they did really was change the oil and wipers.

Total waste of time.

Never going back there again.

Phoned the parts department today which was answered by a grumpy chap.

I asked for a part number for the fuel filter and was told "we can't give that information out"

My argument was its my car and I'd like to change the filter, but because skoda withhold the information I couldn't identify the correct part.

After a few grunts and puffs he said "very well, hang on a minute" a few taps of the keyboard I was told, he couldn't identify my car as it was an import? I did ask was that because it came from the chec republic like other skoda's?

As to which there was no reply.

I called the original dealer who sold the car, very nice and polite and very helpful.

They gave me the part number almost instantly. I asked if they could give me any history on the car, they confirmed all the work that they had done on the car, (I'll look their name up later and give feedback, somewhere in Wales)

They couldn't understand why I'd been told it was a non UK car.

Personally I think the chap at Kings Norton simply couldn't be arsed.

Cars due for a cam belt change soon, needless to say it won't be going to Kings Norton.

Recently phoned them for a plug that sits in the end of the loom from the body side to the brake pads.

Found the young chap called Jay to be very helpful.

Even allowed me to email a photo of the plug to help identify the plug.

A few days later and £2.87 later I have a new plug.

Initially it looked the wrong side but went and got some new pads off the shelf to check.

Excellent service my faith in the parts department has been restored.

Thumbs up to them in my experience over the past 6 years. They fixed a broken tail lamp bulb for free just after I'd bought the car from another garage.

Services have been fine. Only minor niggles: one year the pickup time for the service was very late; once the car came from service with poor tracking, but they picked it up the day after and fixed it.

I'd happily stick with them if I could get a Skoda now that fits what I'm looking for currently.

I've used them for parts a couple of times, (touch-up brush kit and front mudflaps) and they were fine.

Took my phone number, told me when they were expected to be in stock, and phoned me up the morning of the day they were expected to confirm they had got them.

One persistent annoyance I get from some car people is they say they'll call you and then don't. So you call them and get the "I was just about to call you!" line.

So kudos to All Electric parts dept. for managing to make phone calls in a timely manner.

At the end of January 2024, All Electric ceased to be a Skoda dealer and became a KGM (SsangYong) dealer.

All Electric remains an authorised & approved service & maintenance facility for Skoda cars employing the same staff and Skoda trained technicians. Here is a letter received from All Electric a few weeks ago:
