First query was regarding the quality of paint and the initial reply was not a known problem, was given instructions too contact the member of staff I bought the car off. The guy has never once replied to my emails after the inital buying of the car, the email does work, so very under par.
Update 10/06/2006
Car needed too go in for the first time due to a air con problem that I was told didnt exist when I bought the car.
They needed too order the part, but the part guys was off on holiday for over a week, and only he could order it!!!! Then the part took over a week too arrive once he was back from holiday, and they 'forgot' to phone too say the part had arrived and for me too bring the car in, lukcy I made a courtersy call.
They dont have a special 'drop the car off when the place is closed through the letter box' letter box so if I posted the keys they could easily be got at through the letter box, other dealers I have used over the years have a a safe box for customers leaving car keys after closing hours.
Car was fixed and picked up, was told that the problem had been fixed but they didnt bother regassing as it might not need it. So after a 100 miles round trip twice, they could not take 10min too test how cold the aircon was. Obvious driving the car home that the temp of the air con wasnt anywere near cool not too mention cold!
So now another 100mile round trip, and summer will have gone by the time the aircon's fixed.
Current feeling is after my warranty with Slaters is up, it's off too Pant Waen garage for all my Skoda needs.

Thought I would post a few comments here regarding mine and SWMBO experiences with Slaters in Abergele.
We've just taken delivery of our second Fabia vRS, and so far the garage has been pretty good.
Starting with the first vRS, we (also) had a problem with a valve in the air conditioning that needed replacement as it would occasionally blow hot air out all the time. This needed a spare part ordering, which took a couple of weeks, but there were no problems getting the car in for the work to be done, and we were given a courtesy car for the day too. So that wasn't too bad really.
Servicing has always been fuss free, again with a free courtesy car for the day (shame they use Octy's as a courtesy car though!).
The buying process has been pretty good both times now, and the value given to us for our part exchanges, has been about the going rate. WE got a deal with free roof bars in buying our latest car, which have been delayed. It is a genuine mistake though, and they aren't essential, so that's no big deal.
All in all, I would recommend them.
Cheers
Andy

Car was returned with sawdust all over the seats for some reason and the dash was put back together by a one armed mexican who was holding a bottle of Tequila.
However, on the whole they've been very good... We'll see what they're made of when the vRS goes back in with a fault in a few days...

On the way home the air con has gone again, this will be the fourth time it's been back for the same problem.
Also noticed they have ticked the wrong items on the service checklist, and when I bough the car they saw fit to do the 20k service schedule when it had 36k miles on the clock instead of the far steeper 40k service ( and changed it to fixed without asking if that the service I wanted from now on ).
My paint query has now not been answered by 10 emails, 3 letters and 2 phone calls, one of the letter was signed for too!
What add's to the matter is my Uncle is having the same problem with a car he purchased from them too.
When the aircon is fixed AGAIN thats the last time the car set tyre on Slaters soil, it's Pant Waen for me from now on.

As it happens they are only a couple of miles from me so I have used them for MOT and servicing in the past year and have found them to be very helpful. I think it's the same staff that we're in the VW dealership previously rather than the Skoda service centre.
