Is there anyone in Birmingham that can do me a 6 speed gear box conversion on a vrs, I've got everything needed for the conversion just needing someone to do the swap? Cash waiting pm me with prices my clutch is on it's last legs

Hi sorry won't be able to help you with the conversion but I'm curious is it worth doing the 6 speed on a 1.8t engine will you not lose some of the range or indeed does it help it having the extra gear? The reason I ask is I have seen a 6 speed box for sale and didn't know if it was a good idea or not. Sorry to hijack but would be grateful of the knowledge.

Well it's supposed to be a really good mod. From what I've heard makes the octy drive like a totally different car I've driven the leon cupra with a 6speed and I find it a more engaging drive it's all down to personal preference really
