Removing internal door handle trim without tools or damage (Mk1)

Just some brute force and intelligence...

It is very difficult to remove these trims using the factory method from the manual (a screwdriver to a lower point on the trim in a lever fashion) - and you will find you probably damage the door leather trim or the handle trim.  If you have strong firm grip then you can do it without any damage by gripping the top of the trim instead.  This is the second time this trim had been removed - the first was a little more difficult - but you get the idea.  No tools, just POWER! :)

Yeah, it is me...!

I really struggled when I had to swap the passenger front trim - no matter what I tried to do to protect the armrest leather it seems really hard to stop the lever implement from damaging it in some way.  Every set of photos I've seen of someone removing the trim with the factory method I can see the same tell-tale marks on the armrest from the lever implement.

My little boy decided to vandalise his door handle in the rear by scratching off the soft rubber - which made it look rough.  So I tried to work out a better way.

The first time I removed it like this it was a bit stiffer - it only came off in the first tug to around 35 degrees, then I had to give it another tug to get the bottom clips to free - but still do-able.
