I know I haven't had the car long, and I had planned on keeping it a while... but I really miss my old Superb (and I mean really :() and want to get another... so this beauty has to go. If I don't sell it it won't be the end of the world for me, but I have to scratch the Superb itch once more.

I bought the car off Stu08, another Briskodian, who'd had most of the mods done in his ownership.

His for sale thread is here > http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/351894-2006-mk2-octavia-vrs-20-tfsi-hatchback-stage-2-provisionally-sold/

I gave him £4k for the car, and have since spent just over £1k getting things that needed doing sorted.

This included:

£400 for a new a/c compressor and fitting, and regas

£350 on full front end respray to eradicate the many stone chips

£100 on a TTS replacement engine cover that fits with the induction kit

Also a couple of hundred pounds have been spent on minor modifications, including vinyl wrap, dash cam, pressed plates, plate surrounds and other bits and bobs to make it better.

Car was MOT'd on 07/05/15 and went through with no advisories

I can honestly say this car doesn't have any knocks/rattles/squeeks and really does feel like a car with only half the miles as everything has been replaced and improved.

It is definitely the fastest car I have owned, and the Shark map is so smooth and flawless, that you really do have to be careful with the right foot, so please bear that in mind if your thinking of buying it.

My build thread I started is here, with more pics > http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/355565-damos-2006-octavia-vrs/

All in all this is a great car, that has been made even better, and now looks as good as it drives.

As for the all important price, I paid £4k for it, and spent over £1k getting it mint, so I would be wanting £4750

Not a lot to pay for a very well sorted car

PM me for more info

Thanks for reading

Damo

Surprised your selling it but you've got to do what you've got to do and all that. All the best with the sale a lovely car made even nicer, the only shame I was following your thread on this one LOL.

Thanks fella

Like I said, if it doesn't sell I'm not fussed, just missing my old superB.

Just been out in it to drop daughter off at work, and not sure whether I'm doing the right thing selling tbh.

But if its meant to be it will sell, if not then no worries.

Cheers for the kind words

Wow,didnt expect this!,

In my eyes, one of the benchmarks for modded Mk2's, and the recent mods have only made it better.

GLWTS, someone's gonna get a great car!

Glwts how come your selling damo fancy a change. Get a v6 superb lol

Wish I'd have kept my SuperB now :(

Really missing it

This is fast and fun, and a great car, but I like my SuperB's

Not in a rush though, if this sells then I'll find a good one then... But in the meantime I'm happy driving around in this

That V6 is nice, but I'm a Combi man in SuperB guise ;)

If I was looking for a quick family car, this one would be ideal.  I remember it when it was up for sale last time and now it's even tidier.  Good luck Damo as I'm sure someone will snap this up pretty quickly.

Thanks for the kind words Simon.

Thought I'd have had a bit more interest from enthusiasts on here tbh.

Guessing I'm going to have to advertise it elsewhere... which is a shame :(

I went with Adrian Flux. £390 fully comp with all mods declared.

Very happy with that.

Better to go with specialist insurers, they are more understanding of modifications and it doesn't always mean the price will be that much higher

Bloody hell :(

Why's this happening :(

I was gonna pick your brains for part and what to do next with mine :(

It might not happen yet mate

Still undecided, and not even advertised it elsewhere.

Every time I go for a drive, I just think I'm mad to sell it, it's awesome...

But I was mad to sell my Superb in the first place :(

Air con has a slight leak, which my garage has traced down to the evaporater.

With that in mind I will drop the price to £4500

That is honestly the only thing that needs doing on this car

Anybody to view/drive won't be disappointed

Cheers
