Nothing beyond a basic socket/spanner set and an allen or torx set (depends on what you existing links/new links have).

 

Grinder may help depending on your mood and how long the existing links have been on.

That's where the Allen or torx bit comes in (as I said, depends on brand etc some have one some have the other)... you stick it in the end of the 'bolt' part of the link and use a spanner to undo the nut.

 

If its been on a while it could be full of crud or corroded so badly you'll never get a good hold on it... that's where the grinder may come in handy.
