skoda Superb v6 2.8 petrol

Recommended Posts

Dear Experts,

When do we have to change spark plugs for my variants ? Sometimes my car starts on 2nd or 3rd crankshaft. Some weird thing I noticed was, cold start there is no issues but when engine temp. is hot (90*c)  dat time it takes 2 or 3 start.

Thanks for your feedback...

But what can be the cause of starting issue ? cold start is very normal, starts on 1st try (so I guess no issue with spark plug). When  i drive certain miles and  if i tend to turn off and start it again...It will start on 2nd or 3rd try. .. can it be a sensor issue, fuel pump or anything else ?

present temperature in middle east is above 50*c

Fuel vapour locks are a distinct possibility at such high ambient temperatures. The heat soak of a large petrol engine is very considerable (we can't afford to run these heat generators here - the fuel we buy needs to turn the wheels).

Depending on your fuel composition (I guess there's not too much bio-ethanol where you are) your car may now be operating outside its parameters for normal running.

Wet rags on the outside of vapour lock susceptible components such as fuel filter cans will often identify this problem. A wet rag cools the can by evaporation.

rotodiesel.
