SD Reader not working in Columbus

I was having problems with my Columbus not being able to read SD cards. I tried numerous cards and all came up with a read failure.

 

Anyone else had this problem? Software related or Hardware failure? As it happens I think my HHD has now crapped out, so looking to replace that if I can and reload.

As yours is a very early car what size cards have you tried so far? Depending on the firmware the Columbus has on it you might be limited to 2gb or less. SDHC cards were only supported on later firmware.

I have the same problemon in my Audi - only SD cards (not SDHC) upto 2 GB work. They are hard to find and very expensive.
